రేషన్ దుకాణాల్లో కందిపప్పు మళ్లీ ఎప్పుడు? పేదల ఎదురుచూపులు

ధర్మవరం: పేద, మధ్యతరగతి కుటుంబాలకు అందుబాటులో ఉండాల్సిన కందిపప్పు ధరలు భారీగా పెరగడంతో కుటుంబ పోషణ భారంగా మారుతోంది. ఒకవైపు మార్కెట్లో కందిపప్పు ధర రూ.120 నుంచి రూ.150 వరకు పలుకుతుండగా.. మరోవైపు ప్రభుత్వం రేషన్ దుకాణాల ద్వారా గతంలో రాయితీపై అందించిన కందిపప్పు సరఫరా నిలిచిపోవడంతో రేషన్ కార్డుదారులు నిరాశ చెందుతున్నారు.
కూటమి ప్రభుత్వం ప్రారంభమైన సమయంలో రేషన్ దుకాణాల్లో బియ్యం, చక్కెర, జొన్నలతో పాటు కందిపప్పును కూడా పంపిణీ చేసింది. ఒక్కో రేషన్ కార్డుదారుడికి కిలో కందిపప్పు రూ.67కే అందించింది. అయితే ఈ పథకం ఎక్కువ కాలం కొనసాగలేదు. ఒకటి, రెండు నెలలు మాత్రమే రేషన్ షాపుల్లో కందిపప్పు పంపిణీ జరిగిన అనంతరం సరఫరా నిలిచిపోయింది.
దీంతో ప్రస్తుతం రేషన్ దుకాణాల్లో కందిపప్పు కోసం పేదలు ఎదురుచూస్తున్న పరిస్థితి నెలకొంది.
మార్కెట్లో కందిపప్పు ధర ఎంత?
ప్రస్తుతం మార్కెట్లో కందిపప్పు ధర నాణ్యతను బట్టి కిలోకు రూ.120 నుంచి రూ.150 వరకు ఉంది. ప్రభుత్వం రేషన్ దుకాణాల ద్వారా గతంలో కిలో రూ.67కే కందిపప్పును అందించడంతో పేద కుటుంబాలకు కొంత ఉపశమనం లభించింది.
అయితే రూ.67 రేషన్ కందిపప్పు ధరతో పోలిస్తే మార్కెట్ ధర దాదాపు రెట్టింపుగా ఉండటంతో తక్కువ ఆదాయం ఉన్న కుటుంబాలు తీవ్ర ఇబ్బందులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్నాయి. నిత్యావసర వస్తువుల ధరలు పెరుగుతున్న సమయంలో పప్పు ధర కూడా పెరగడం కుటుంబ బడ్జెట్పై ప్రభావం చూపుతోందని వినియోగదారులు చెబుతున్నారు.
రేషన్ షాపుల్లో కందిపప్పు ఎందుకు లేదు?
కందిపప్పు కోసం రేషన్ కార్డుదారుల నుంచి నిరంతరం అభ్యర్థనలు వస్తున్నప్పటికీ రేషన్ దుకాణాల్లో కందిపప్పు సరఫరా పునరుద్ధరణ కాలేదు. సంబంధిత అధికారులు మాత్రం కందిపప్పు కోసం ఇండెంట్ పెడుతున్నామని, ప్రభుత్వం నుంచి సరఫరా వచ్చిన వెంటనే రేషన్ దుకాణాలకు పంపిణీ చేస్తామని చెబుతున్నారు.
ప్రజాపంపిణీ వ్యవస్థలో భాగంగా బియ్యం, చక్కెరతో పాటు కందిపప్పును కూడా ప్రతి నెలా రేషన్ దుకాణాల్లో అందించాలని కార్డుదారులు కోరుతున్నారు.
చక్కెర ధర కూడా పెరిగింది
కందిపప్పుతో పాటు చక్కెర ధరలు కూడా మార్కెట్లో పెరిగాయి. ప్రస్తుతం మార్కెట్లో కిలో చక్కెర ధర సుమారు రూ.70 వరకు ఉందని వినియోగదారులు చెబుతున్నారు. అయితే రేషన్ దుకాణాల్లో కిలో చక్కెరను రూ.20కే అందిస్తున్నారు.
అయితే జిల్లాలోని కొన్ని రేషన్ దుకాణాల్లో చక్కెర స్టాక్ తక్కువగా వచ్చిందని చెబుతూ అరకొరగా సరఫరా చేస్తున్నారనే ఆరోపణలు వినిపిస్తున్నాయి. మిగిలిన చక్కెరను మార్కెట్లో విక్రయిస్తున్నారనే ఆరోపణలు కూడా ఉన్నాయి. ఈ అంశంపై అధికారులు సమగ్రంగా తనిఖీలు నిర్వహించి వాస్తవాలను వెలుగులోకి తీసుకురావాలని కార్డుదారులు కోరుతున్నారు.
“ప్రతి నెలా కందిపప్పు ఇవ్వాలి”
పెరిగిన కందిపప్పు ధరలతో పేద కుటుంబాలపై ఆర్థిక భారం పెరుగుతోందని వినియోగదారులు ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు. రేషన్ దుకాణాల ద్వారా తక్కువ ధరకు కందిపప్పు అందిస్తే తమకు ఎంతో ఉపశమనం కలుగుతుందని చెబుతున్నారు.
లింగమ్మ, ధర్మవరం మాట్లాడుతూ..
“ప్రస్తుతం కందిపప్పు, చక్కెర ధరలు బయట మార్కెట్లో బాగా పెరిగాయి. కుటుంబాన్ని పోషించడం భారంగా మారుతోంది. ప్రభుత్వం రేషన్ దుకాణాల ద్వారా బియ్యం, చక్కెరతో పాటు కందిపప్పును కూడా తక్కువ ధరకు అందించాలి. ప్రతి నెలా రేషన్ దుకాణాల్లో కందిపప్పు పంపిణీ చేయాలి” అని కోరారు.
“రెండేళ్లుగా కందిపప్పు కోసం ఎదురుచూస్తున్నాం”
లలితమ్మ, ధర్మవరం మాట్లాడుతూ..
“కందిపప్పు కోసం రెండేళ్లుగా ఎదురుచూస్తున్నాం. గత ప్రభుత్వంలో కందిపప్పు ఇవ్వలేదు. ప్రస్తుత ప్రభుత్వంలో మాత్రం రెండుసార్లు మాత్రమే రేషన్ దుకాణాల్లో కందిపప్పు ఇచ్చారు. ఆ తర్వాత మళ్లీ ఇంతవరకు సరఫరా చేయలేదు. రేషన్ దుకాణాల్లో కిలో కందిపప్పు రూ.67కే లభిస్తుంది. బయట మార్కెట్లో కొనాలంటే రూ.120 వరకు చెల్లించాల్సి వస్తోంది” అని ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేశారు.
ప్రభుత్వం దృష్టికి తీసుకెళ్లాం: అధికారులు
కందిపప్పు కోసం రేషన్ కార్డుదారుల నుంచి వస్తున్న అభ్యర్థనలను ప్రభుత్వం దృష్టికి తీసుకెళ్తున్నామని సంబంధిత అధికారులు తెలిపారు. ప్రతినెలా కందిపప్పు కోసం ఇండెంట్ పెడుతున్నామని చెప్పారు.
ప్రజాపంపిణీ వ్యవస్థలో ఎలాంటి లోపాలు లేకుండా చర్యలు తీసుకుంటున్నామని, ప్రభుత్వం నుంచి కందిపప్పు విడుదలైన వెంటనే రేషన్ దుకాణాలకు సరఫరా చేస్తామని స్పష్టం చేశారు.
పేదలకు రేషన్ కందిపప్పు ఎప్పుడు?
ప్రస్తుతం పెరుగుతున్న కందిపప్పు ధరలు, చక్కెర ధరలు పేద, మధ్యతరగతి కుటుంబాలపై అదనపు భారాన్ని మోపుతున్నాయి. మార్కెట్లో కిలో కందిపప్పు రూ.120–రూ.150 వరకు ఉండగా, రేషన్ దుకాణాల ద్వారా గతంలో కిలో రూ.67కే అందించిన నేపథ్యంలో మళ్లీ రేషన్ కందిపప్పు పంపిణీని ప్రారంభించాలనే డిమాండ్ పెరుగుతోంది.

Dharmavaram: Poor and low-income families are facing increasing financial pressure as ration shop dal supply has stopped, while the price of toor dal in the open market has climbed to between ₹120 and ₹150 per kg, depending on quality.
When the coalition government initially came to power, ration shops supplied rice, sugar, jowar and toor dal to eligible ration cardholders. Under the subsidised system, one kilogram of toor dal was made available at just ₹67 per kg.
However, the subsidised ration shop dal supply continued for only one or two months. Since then, toor dal has reportedly disappeared from ration shops, leaving ration cardholders disappointed.
Toor Dal Price Doubles in Open Market
The toor dal price in the open market has increased significantly. Consumers currently have to pay around ₹120 to ₹150 per kg, depending on the quality of the dal.
This is almost twice the earlier subsidised price of ₹67 available through ration shops. For economically weaker families, the sharp increase in dal prices has made it difficult to purchase essential food items regularly.
Consumers say that restoring ration shop dal supply would provide much-needed relief to poor families struggling with rising household expenses.
Sugar Prices Also Add to Household Burden
Along with rising toor dal prices, consumers are also concerned about the price of sugar in the open market. Sugar is reportedly selling for around ₹70 per kg in the market, while ration shops supply sugar at a subsidised price of around ₹20 per kg.
There are also allegations that some ration shops in the district are receiving inadequate sugar stocks and distributing the commodity only in limited quantities. Consumers have alleged that the remaining stock is being diverted for sale in the open market.
The allegations need to be properly investigated by the concerned authorities, consumers said.
Consumers Demand Monthly Ration Dal Supply
Ration cardholders are demanding that the government restore ration shop dal supply and ensure that toor dal is distributed every month along with rice and sugar.
They said that rising prices of toor dal, sugar and other essential commodities have increased the financial burden on poor households.
“Toor dal and sugar prices have increased sharply in the open market. Managing household expenses has become difficult. The government should control prices and provide toor dal through ration shops at an affordable price every month,” said Lingamma of Dharmavaram.
“We Have Been Waiting for Two Years”
Lalithamma of Dharmavaram said that ration cardholders have been waiting for the subsidised dal supply for a long time.
“We have been waiting for toor dal for nearly two years. The previous government did not provide it. Under the present government, toor dal was distributed only twice through ration shops. It has not been supplied again. We could get one kilogram of toor dal for ₹67 at the ration shop, whereas we now have to spend around ₹120 in outside shops,” she said.
The continued absence of ration shop dal supply has therefore become a major concern for low-income families.
Officials Say Request Has Been Conveyed to Government
Officials said that requests received from ration cardholders regarding toor dal supply are being brought to the government’s attention.
“We are submitting the required indent every month for toor dal. Steps are being taken to ensure there are no irregularities in the public distribution system. Once the government releases the required stock, toor dal will be supplied to ration shops,” officials said.
Demand for Immediate Restoration of Ration Shop Dal Supply
The demand for ration shop dal supply has gained importance amid rising toor dal prices in the open market. Consumers say that subsidised food commodities through the public distribution system can provide significant relief to poor and economically weaker households.
They are demanding that the government:
- Restore ration shop dal supply immediately.
- Supply toor dal every month through ration shops.
- Continue subsidised toor dal at an affordable price.
- Ensure adequate sugar stocks at all ration shops.
- Strengthen monitoring of the public distribution system.
- Take action against any diversion or illegal sale of ration commodities.
- Take effective measures to control rising toor dal prices and essential commodity prices.
For thousands of ration cardholders, the key question now is when ration shop dal supply will resume and whether subsidised toor dal will once again be available at ₹67 per kg.
