విద్యార్థుల జీవితాలను తీర్చిదిద్దడమే ఉపాధ్యాయులకు లభించే గొప్ప గుర్తింపు అని ఎంపీ శ్రీభరత్ అన్నారు. ఏయూ వైవీఎస్ మూర్తి ఆడిటోరియంలో జిల్లా స్థాయి ఉపాధ్యాయ దినోత్సవ వేడుకల్లో ఎంపీ పాల్గొన్నారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా మాట్లాడుతూ.. ఉపాధ్యాయులకు ‘టీచర్స్ డే’ శుభాకాంక్షలు తెలియజేశారు. 69,947 మంది ప్రభుత్వ పాఠశాలలో విద్యను అభ్యసిస్తున్నారని తెలిపారు. గత ఏడాదితో పోల్చితే ఈ ఏడాది ప్రభుత్వ పాఠశాలలో 1500 మంది విద్యార్థులు పెరిగారన్నారు. ప్రభుత్వ పాఠశాలలపై ప్రజల్లో పెరుగుతున్న నమ్మకానికి ఇది నిదర్శనమని చెప్పుకొచ్చారు. ‘ఆరోగ్యం, విద్యకు నా ఎంపీ లాడ్స్ నిధులు ఖర్చు చేయాలని నిర్చయించుకున్నా. పాఠశాలలో మౌలిక వసతులు కావాలంటే మా దృష్టికి తీసుకురావాలి’ అని ఎంపీ శ్రీభరత్ పేర్కొన్నారు.
ఉపాధ్యాయులకు ఎన్ని అవార్డులు ఇచ్చినా వారు చేసే సేవ ముందు తక్కువే అని జిల్లా కలెక్టర్ అభిషిక్త్ కిశోర్ అన్నారు. ఉపాధ్యాయులకు సర్వేపల్లి రాధాకృష్ణన్ చేసిన కృషి ఎనలేనిదన్నారు. ఉపాధ్యాయ వ్యవస్థకు డాక్టర్ సర్వేపల్లి రాధాకృష్ణన్ ప్రపంచస్థాయి గుర్తింపు తీసుకువచ్చారని తెలిపారు. ‘ప్రతి ఒక్కరి విజయం వెనుక ఒక టీచర్ ఉంటారు… నా మొదటి గురువు నా తల్లి. నేను ఐఏఎస్ కాకపోతే ఉపాధ్యాయ వృత్తి వైపు వెళ్లేవాడిని’ అని చెప్పుకొచ్చారు. వైజాగ్లో ఉన్న ఉపాధ్యాయులు దేశంలోనే ఒక బ్రాండ్గా ఉండాలని అన్నారు. రాష్ట్రంలో ప్రైవేటు పాఠశాలలకు ధీటుగా ప్రభుత్వ పాఠశాలలు అభివృద్ధి చెందుతున్నాయని తెలిపారు. రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం విద్యకు అధిక ప్రాధాన్యం ఇస్తోందన్నారు. విశాఖ జిల్లాలో విద్యార్థులను ఉపాధ్యాయులు మంచి విద్యార్థులుగా తీర్చిదిద్దాలని సూచించారు. విద్యార్థులకు అవసరమైన మౌలిక వసతులు కల్పించేందుకు జిల్లా యంత్రాంగం కృషి చేస్తోందని కలెక్టర్ అభిషిక్త్ కిశోర్ వెల్లడించారు.

MP Sribharat said that shaping the lives of students is the greatest recognition a teacher can receive. He participated in the district-level Teachers’ Day celebrations held at the YVS Murthy Auditorium of Andhra University.
Speaking on the occasion, MP Sribharat extended his Teachers’ Day greetings to all teachers. He said that 69,947 students are currently studying in government schools. Compared with last year, the number of students in government schools has increased by 1,500 this year. He said this reflects the growing public confidence in government schools.
“I have decided to utilize my MP-LADS funds for health and education. If schools require infrastructure facilities, they should bring the requirements to our attention,” MP Sribharat said.
District Collector Abhishikth Kishore said that no number of awards could adequately recognize the valuable services rendered by teachers. He highlighted the immense contribution of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and said that he brought global recognition to the teaching profession.
“There is a teacher behind every person’s success. My first teacher was my mother. If I had not become an IAS officer, I would have chosen the teaching profession,” the Collector said.
He expressed his wish for teachers in Visakhapatnam to become a brand across the country. He said government schools in the state are developing on par with private schools and noted that the state government is giving high priority to education.
The Collector urged teachers in Visakhapatnam district to help students develop into responsible and successful individuals. He also said that the district administration is working to provide the necessary infrastructure facilities for students.
