అమరావతి: తెలుగుదేశం పార్టీకి చెందిన మంత్రులతో మంత్రి నారా లోకేశ్ నిర్వహించిన బ్రేక్ఫాస్ట్ సమావేశంలో రాష్ట్రంలో కీలక అంశాలపై విస్తృతంగా చర్చ జరిగింది. ముఖ్యంగా కొత్త పింఛన్లు, స్థానిక సంస్థల ఎన్నికలు, విద్యా శాఖ, సంక్షేమ శాఖలు, వైద్య రంగం, అధికారుల పనితీరు, నీటి కొరత వంటి అంశాలపై మంత్రి నారా లోకేశ్ మంత్రులకు కీలక సూచనలు చేసినట్లు సమాచారం.
అక్టోబర్ నుంచి కొత్త పింఛన్లు
అర్హత ఉన్న ప్రతి ఒక్కరికీ అక్టోబర్ నెల నుంచి దశలవారీగా కొత్త పింఛన్లు అందించాలని మంత్రి నారా లోకేశ్ స్పష్టం చేసినట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. ఇప్పటికే వచ్చిన పింఛన్ దరఖాస్తులను ఎప్పటికప్పుడు పరిశీలించి, అర్హులైన వారికి ఎలాంటి జాప్యం లేకుండా కొత్త పింఛన్లు మంజూరు చేయాలని మంత్రులకు సూచించారు.
ప్రజల నుంచి వచ్చే దరఖాస్తులను పెండింగ్లో ఉంచకుండా త్వరితగతిన పరిష్కరించాలని, అర్హత ఉన్న ప్రతి లబ్ధిదారుడికి ప్రభుత్వ సంక్షేమ పథకాల ప్రయోజనం అందేలా చూడాలని మంత్రి నారా లోకేశ్ ఆదేశించినట్లు సమాచారం.
స్థానిక సంస్థల ఎన్నికలకు సిద్ధం కావాలి
స్థానిక సంస్థల ఎన్నికలపై కూడా మంత్రి నారా లోకేశ్ కీలక వ్యాఖ్యలు చేశారు. ఎన్నికలకు పార్టీ, ప్రభుత్వం అన్ని విధాలా సిద్ధంగా ఉండాలని మంత్రులకు సూచించారు. స్థానిక ఎన్నికల్లో అన్ని స్థానాల్లో కూటమి అభ్యర్థులను గెలిపించేలా సమన్వయంతో పనిచేయాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు.

స్థానిక సంస్థల ఎన్నికల నిర్వహణపై ప్రభుత్వం అనుసరించే క్రమాన్ని కూడా మంత్రి వివరించినట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. ముందుగా పురపాలక ఎన్నికలు, ఆ తర్వాత ఎంపీటీసీ, జెడ్పీటీసీ ఎన్నికలు, అనంతరం పంచాయతీ ఎన్నికలు నిర్వహించేలా ప్రక్రియ కొనసాగుతుందని తెలిపారు.
ఎన్నికలు వాయిదా పడేలా ప్రత్యర్థులు చేస్తున్న ప్రయత్నాలు ఫలించవని మంత్రి వ్యాఖ్యానించినట్లు సమాచారం. స్థానిక సంస్థల ఎన్నికలు వాయిదా పడితే ఫైనాన్స్ కమిషన్ నిధులు నిలిచిపోయి రాష్ట్రానికి నష్టం వాటిల్లే ప్రమాదం ఉందని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు.
అందువల్ల కోర్టు కేసులను త్వరితగతిన పరిష్కరించుకుని, నిర్ణయించిన సమయంలో స్థానిక సంస్థల ఎన్నికలు నిర్వహించేందుకు ప్రభుత్వం కట్టుబడి ఉందని స్పష్టం చేసినట్లు తెలుస్తోంది.
విద్యా శాఖపై ప్రత్యేక దృష్టి
విద్యా శాఖను లక్ష్యంగా చేసుకుని ప్రత్యర్థులు చేస్తున్న రాజకీయ కుట్రలపై అప్రమత్తంగా ఉండాలని మంత్రి నారా లోకేశ్ సూచించినట్లు సమాచారం. విద్యా శాఖతో పాటు ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీ, బీసీ, మైనార్టీ, సంక్షేమ శాఖలు నిరంతరం అప్రమత్తంగా ఉంటూ ప్రభుత్వంపై తప్పుడు ప్రచారాన్ని సమర్థంగా తిప్పికొట్టాలని మంత్రులకు సూచించారు.

వైద్య రంగంలోనూ అప్రమత్తత అవసరం
వైద్య రంగానికి సంబంధించిన చిన్న పొరపాటును కూడా సోషల్ మీడియాలో పెద్ద అంశంగా చూపిస్తూ ప్రభుత్వాన్ని విమర్శించే ప్రయత్నాలు జరుగుతున్నాయని మంత్రి నారా లోకేశ్ పేర్కొన్నట్లు తెలుస్తోంది.

Minister directs phased rollout of new pensions from October, asks ministers to prepare for local body polls
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Minister and TDP leader Nara Lokesh held a breakfast meeting with Telugu Desam Party ministers, with new pensions, local body elections, welfare administration, education, healthcare and water management emerging as the key issues discussed.
During the meeting, Nara Lokesh reportedly directed ministers to ensure that new pensions are issued to all eligible beneficiaries in a phased manner from October. He asked ministers to process the applications received from eligible beneficiaries without unnecessary delay and ensure that deserving people receive the benefits.
New pensions from October
Nara Lokesh stressed the need for a systematic mechanism to examine and dispose of pension applications on a regular basis. The minister reportedly told his colleagues that new pension beneficiaries should not have to wait unnecessarily once their eligibility is established.
The direction comes amid the government’s focus on welfare delivery and ensuring that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of government schemes.
AP local body elections to be completed by October
The Andhra Pradesh local body elections were another major topic during the Nara Lokesh meeting with TDP ministers.
Nara Lokesh reportedly asked ministers and party leaders to be fully prepared for the local body elections and work towards ensuring victory for coalition candidates across all constituencies.
The minister made it clear that the local elections would not be postponed and said the election process would be completed by October.
According to the sequence discussed in the meeting, municipal elections are expected to be taken up first, followed by MPTC and ZPTC elections, and subsequently gram panchayat elections.
Government working to clear pending court cases
Nara Lokesh reportedly said the government was making efforts to resolve cases pending before courts at the earliest so that elections could be conducted across all eligible local bodies.
He stressed that all legal hurdles should be addressed quickly and that the government would work towards conducting the AP local body elections within the planned timeframe.
The minister also criticised what he described as attempts to delay the elections, arguing that postponement of local body elections could affect the flow of Finance Commission funds to the state.
Ministers asked to remain alert over education sector
The education sector also came under discussion during the Nara Lokesh breakfast meeting.
Nara Lokesh reportedly asked ministers concerned to remain vigilant against what he described as attempts by political opponents to target the Education Department.
He also asked ministers handling Education, SC Welfare, ST Welfare, BC Welfare, Minority Welfare and other welfare departments to closely monitor developments and respond effectively to allegations and controversies.
Warning over officials’ performance
Nara Lokesh reportedly took a serious view of the functioning of some officials and said officers whose performance damages the reputation of a department or minister should not be allowed to continue unchecked.
He stressed that ministers should closely monitor the performance of officials and take alternative administrative measures wherever necessary.
According to the minister, problems had recently emerged because of the functioning of a few officials. He reportedly advised ministers to ensure better coordination between political leadership and the administration.
Social media criticism of government under watch
The minister also reportedly discussed the growing role of social media in political criticism.
Nara Lokesh said even minor mistakes in the healthcare sector were being highlighted on social media by critics seeking to blame the government.
He asked ministers to remain alert and ensure that departments respond quickly to issues before they develop into larger controversies.
September 9 programme to highlight Chandrababu’s political journey
The meeting also discussed a proposed programme on September 9 focusing on TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Nara Lokesh reportedly said the programme should remind people of the challenges faced by Chandrababu Naidu following the cases and detention against him and highlight the journey of the government in overcoming several challenges and taking Andhra Pradesh forward on the path of development.
El Niño impact and possible water shortage
The potential impact of El Niño on water availability was another issue discussed during the meeting.
Nara Lokesh reportedly warned that the state could face water shortages due to the impact of El Niño and called for advance planning and water conservation measures.
He stressed the importance of preparing in advance rather than waiting for a crisis to emerge. Ministers were reportedly asked to focus on water management, conservation and contingency planning to minimise the impact of any shortage.
Focus on governance and election preparedness
The Nara Lokesh breakfast meeting comes at a crucial stage for the Andhra Pradesh government, with new pensions and local body elections emerging as two of the most important immediate priorities.
