యూరియా కోసం యాప్లో పోరాటం.. రైతులకు శాపంగా మారిన బుకింగ్ నిబంధన
సిద్దిపేట: కేంద్ర, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వాలు రైతులకు ఎరువుల సరఫరాను పారదర్శకంగా అందించేందుకు ప్రవేశపెట్టిన ఎరువుల యాప్.. ప్రస్తుతం రైతులకు ఇబ్బందుల కేంద్రంగా మారిందన్న విమర్శలు వెల్లువెత్తుతున్నాయి. ముఖ్యంగా యూరియా కొరతతో రైతులు తీవ్ర ఇబ్బందులు పడుతున్నారు. డీలర్లు యూరియా స్టాక్ వివరాలను యాప్లో అప్లోడ్ చేసిన కొద్దిసేపటికే స్టాక్ అయిపోతుండటంతో రైతులు బుకింగ్ కోసం తీవ్రంగా పోటీ పడాల్సి వస్తోంది. కొన్ని ప్రాంతాల్లో సర్వర్ డౌన్, ఓటీపీలు ఆలస్యంగా రావడం, స్టాక్ పూర్తయిన తర్వాత కూడా బుకింగ్లు కొనసాగడం వంటి సాంకేతిక సమస్యలు రైతులను మరింత గందరగోళానికి గురిచేస్తున్నాయి.
5 నుంచి 10 నిమిషాల్లోనే స్టాక్ ఖాళీ
యూరియా స్టాక్ అందుబాటులోకి వచ్చినట్లు యాప్లో సమాచారం కనిపించిన వెంటనే రైతులు బుకింగ్ చేసుకునేందుకు ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నారు. అయితే 5 నుంచి 10 నిమిషాల్లోనే స్టాక్ పూర్తయిపోతున్నట్లు రైతులు చెబుతున్నారు. దీంతో యాప్లో బుకింగ్ ప్రక్రియను పూర్తి చేయలేక చాలామంది రైతులు ఖాళీ చేతులతో వెనుదిరుగుతున్నారు. యాప్లో బుకింగ్ తప్పనిసరి చేయడం తమకు శాపంగా మారిందని రైతులు ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు.
వరి సాగు తగ్గినా.. యూరియా డిమాండ్ తగ్గలేదు
అధికారుల సూచనల మేరకు వరి సాగు తగ్గించి ఆరుతడి పంటలు సాగు చేయాలని రైతులకు అవగాహన కల్పించారు. దీంతో సిద్దిపేట వ్యవసాయ డివిజన్ పరిధిలో వరి సాగు గతేడాదితో పోలిస్తే గణనీయంగా తగ్గింది. గత వానకాలంలో సుమారు 86 వేల ఎకరాల్లో వరి సాగు కాగా, ఈసారి అది 73 వేల ఎకరాలకు పడిపోయింది. వరి సాగు తగ్గిన భూముల్లో కంది, మొక్కజొన్న తదితర ఆరుతడి పంటలను రైతులు సాగు చేశారు.
అయితే వరి సాగు తగ్గినా యూరియా డిమాండ్ మాత్రం తగ్గకపోవడం అధికారులకు సవాల్గా మారింది. ప్రస్తుత వానకాలం సీజన్కు సిద్దిపేట వ్యవసాయ డివిజన్లో సుమారు 12 వేల మెట్రిక్ టన్నుల యూరియా అవసరం ఉందని అధికారులు అంచనా వేశారు. కానీ ఇప్పటివరకు కేవలం 4,500 మెట్రిక్ టన్నుల యూరియా మాత్రమే సరఫరా అయినట్లు సమాచారం. దీంతో అవసరానికి, సరఫరాకు మధ్య భారీ వ్యత్యాసం ఏర్పడింది.
అధికారుల నివేదికలు.. సరఫరాలో మాత్రం కొరత
రైతుల అవసరాలను దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకుని డిమాండ్కు అనుగుణంగా యూరియా సరఫరా చేయాలని వ్యవసాయ అధికారులు ఉన్నతాధికారులకు నివేదికలు పంపుతున్నప్పటికీ, క్షేత్రస్థాయిలో మాత్రం పరిస్థితి మారడం లేదనే ఆరోపణలు ఉన్నాయి. ఒకవైపు యూరియా కొరత, మరోవైపు యాప్ సాంకేతిక సమస్యలు రైతులను తీవ్ర ఇబ్బందులకు గురిచేస్తున్నాయి.
రెండు గ్రామాల పేర్లే కనిపించడం లేదు!
నంగునూరు మండలంలోని వెంకటాపూర్, మురుదాబాద్, మైసంపల్లి గ్రామాలకు సంబంధించి ఎరువుల యాప్లో మరో సమస్య తలెత్తింది. అందులో పేర్కొన్న గ్రామాల పేర్లు యాప్లో కనిపించడం లేదని రైతులు చెబుతున్నారు. ఫార్మర్ రిజిస్ట్రీలోనే ఆయా గ్రామాల పేర్లు నమోదు కాకపోవడం, ఎల్జీ కోడ్స్ మ్యాప్ కాకపోవడంతో ఈ సమస్య ఏర్పడినట్లు అధికారులు గుర్తించారు.
ఈ సమస్యను అధికారులు ఉన్నతాధికారుల దృష్టికి తీసుకెళ్లినా ఇప్పటివరకు పరిష్కారం కాలేదని తెలుస్తోంది. యాప్లో గ్రామాల పేర్లు కనిపించకపోవడంతో ఆయా గ్రామాల రైతులు ఇతర గ్రామాలకు వెళ్లి అక్కడి రైతులు, డీలర్ల సహాయంతో ఎంతో కొంత యూరియా తెచ్చుకోవాల్సిన పరిస్థితి నెలకొంది.
దౌల్తాబాద్లోనూ యూరియా కొరత
దౌల్తాబాద్ మండలంలో కూడా యూరియా కొరత తీవ్రంగా ఉందని రైతులు ఆందోళన వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు. సిద్దిపేట జిల్లాలో ఈ వానకాలం సీజన్లో సుమారు 6 లక్షల ఎకరాల్లో వివిధ పంటలు సాగు చేసినట్లు వ్యవసాయ శాఖ గణాంకాలు సూచిస్తున్నాయి. ఇందులో 3 లక్షలకుపైగా ఎకరాల్లో వరి, 75 వేల ఎకరాల్లో పత్తి, 80 వేల ఎకరాల్లో మొక్కజొన్న, లక్ష ఎకరాల్లో మిర్చి, ఇతర కూరగాయ పంటలు సాగయ్యాయి.
ఈ పంటలకు అవసరమైన యూరియా ఎరువును సకాలంలో అందించకపోవడంతో పంటలపై ప్రభావం పడుతోందని రైతులు ఆందోళన చెందుతున్నారు. ముఖ్యంగా వరి, మొక్కజొన్న పంటలకు కీలక దశలో యూరియా అందకపోతే దిగుబడులు తగ్గే ప్రమాదం ఉందని రైతులు చెబుతున్నారు.
ఎర్రబడుతున్న మొక్కజొన్న, వరి చేన్లు
యూరియా అందకపోవడంతో కొన్ని ప్రాంతాల్లో మొక్కజొన్న, వరి పంటలు ఎర్రబడుతున్నాయని రైతులు చెబుతున్నారు. పంట ఎదుగుదలకు అవసరమైన సమయంలో ఎరువులు అందకపోవడంతో మొక్కలు బలహీనపడుతున్నాయని ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు. ఇప్పటికే వర్షాల పరిస్థితులు, సాగునీటి సమస్యలు, పెరుగుతున్న సాగు ఖర్చులతో ఇబ్బందులు పడుతున్న రైతులకు యూరియా కొరత మరో సమస్యగా మారింది.
యాప్ సాంకేతిక సమస్యలతో మరింత గందరగోళం
ఎరువుల యాప్ ద్వారా యూరియా బుకింగ్ చేయాలంటే రైతులు ముందుగా నమోదు ప్రక్రియను పూర్తి చేయాల్సి వస్తోంది. అయితే సర్వర్ డౌన్ కావడం, ఓటీపీలు సమయానికి రాకపోవడం, యాప్లో స్టాక్ వివరాలు ఆలస్యంగా కనిపించడం వంటి సమస్యలు ఎదురవుతున్నాయి. మరోవైపు స్టాక్ పూర్తయినప్పటికీ అదనపు బుకింగ్లు నమోదవుతున్నాయని రైతులు ఆరోపిస్తున్నారు.
దీంతో యాప్లో స్టాక్ కనిపిస్తే వెంటనే బుకింగ్ చేసుకోవాల్సిన పరిస్థితి ఏర్పడింది. సాంకేతిక పరిజ్ఞానంపై అవగాహన లేని రైతులు, వృద్ధ రైతులు ఈ ప్రక్రియలో మరింత ఇబ్బందులు పడుతున్నారు.
రైతుల డిమాండ్ ఏమిటంటే..
యూరియా కొరతను తక్షణమే పరిష్కరించాలని రైతులు ప్రభుత్వాన్ని కోరుతున్నారు. డిమాండ్కు అనుగుణంగా యూరియా సరఫరా చేయడంతోపాటు, ఎరువుల యాప్లో సాంకేతిక సమస్యలను వెంటనే పరిష్కరించాలని డిమాండ్ చేస్తున్నారు. యాప్లో స్టాక్ వివరాలు పారదర్శకంగా, నిజసమయానికి అనుగుణంగా కనిపించేలా చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని కోరుతున్నారు.
అలాగే ఫార్మర్ రిజిస్ట్రీలో గ్రామాల వివరాలు, ఎల్జీ కోడ్స్ మ్యాపింగ్లో ఉన్న లోపాలను సరిచేసి అన్ని గ్రామాల రైతులకు యాప్ ద్వారా యూరియా అందుబాటులోకి తీసుకురావాలని విజ్ఞప్తి చేస్తున్నారు.
పంటలకు కీలకమైన సమయంలో యూరియా అందకపోతే రైతులపై ఆర్థిక భారం మరింత పెరిగే ప్రమాదం ఉంది. అందువల్ల ప్రభుత్వం యాప్ సమస్యలపై మాత్రమే కాకుండా, క్షేత్రస్థాయిలో ఉన్న యూరియా కొరత, సరఫరా లోపాలు, బుకింగ్ సమస్యలను సమగ్రంగా పరిష్కరించాలని రైతులు కోరుతున్నారు.

Siddipet, August 25: Farmers in Siddipet district are facing severe difficulties due to a shortage of urea fertilizer, compounded by technical problems with the fertilizer booking app introduced by the Central and Telangana governments. Farmers say urea stocks uploaded on the app are exhausted within just 5 to 10 minutes, leaving many unable to book the fertilizer they urgently need for their crops.
The situation has raised concerns among farmers as the ongoing Kharif season reaches a crucial stage. Despite efforts by agriculture officials to encourage farmers to reduce paddy cultivation and shift towards dryland crops, the demand for urea in Siddipet continues to remain high.
Urea Shortage Adds to Farmers’ Problems
The Siddipet urea shortage has become a major concern for farmers who depend on timely fertilizer availability for crop growth. Agriculture officials have reportedly submitted reports seeking adequate urea supplies based on the demand in the division.
However, the mandatory requirement to book urea through the fertilizer app has created additional difficulties for farmers.
Farmers complain that even when urea stock is shown as available on the app, it disappears within minutes. Many farmers are unable to complete the booking process because of server issues, delayed OTPs and other technical glitches.
Paddy Cultivation Falls, But Urea Demand Remains High
Data from the Siddipet agricultural division indicates that paddy cultivation has declined compared with last year.
Paddy was cultivated on around 86,000 acres last year, while the area has fallen to approximately 73,000 acres this Kharif season. Farmers have shifted some of the area to dryland crops such as red gram and maize.
Despite the reduction in paddy cultivation, the demand for urea fertilizer has not declined significantly.
For the current Kharif season, the estimated urea requirement in the Siddipet agricultural division is around 12,000 metric tonnes. However, only about 4,500 metric tonnes of urea has been supplied so far, leaving a significant gap between demand and supply.
The shortage has intensified pressure on farmers who require urea during critical crop growth stages.
Fertilizer App Creates Fresh Challenges
The fertilizer booking app was introduced to improve transparency and ensure that fertilizer reaches genuine farmers. However, farmers in Siddipet say technical problems with the urea booking app are making the process increasingly difficult.
Some of the major problems reported by farmers include:
- Urea stocks disappearing within 5 to 10 minutes after being uploaded.
- Server downtime during the booking process.
- OTPs not reaching farmers on time.
- Booking options reportedly remaining active even after stocks are exhausted.
- Difficulties in completing online bookings.
- Farmers with limited digital knowledge struggling with the app-based system.
Farmers argue that an online booking system can work effectively only when adequate stock is available and the application functions reliably.
Three Villages Missing From Fertilizer App
Farmers in parts of Nangunur mandal are facing an additional problem. Venkatapur, Murudabad and Maisampally villages are reportedly not appearing properly on the fertilizer app.
According to the information available locally, the names of these villages were not carried over from the Farmer Registry, while the required LG codes have also not been mapped.
Officials reportedly brought the issue to the attention of higher authorities, but the problem has remained unresolved.
As the villages are not properly listed on the fertilizer app, farmers are being forced to depend on farmers from other villages to obtain whatever quantity of fertilizer is available.
Maize and Paddy Crops Turning Red
The urea shortage in Siddipet is also raising concerns about crop health.
Farmers in several areas say maize and paddy crops are showing signs of nutrient deficiency and are beginning to turn reddish due to the lack of timely fertilizer application.
Farmers fear that continued delays in supplying urea fertilizer could affect crop growth and ultimately reduce yields.
The problem is particularly worrying because farmers have already invested heavily in seeds, labour, pesticides, irrigation and other agricultural inputs.
Doulthabad Also Hit by Urea Shortage
The shortage is not limited to the Siddipet agricultural division. Farmers in Doulthabad mandal are also reportedly struggling to obtain adequate quantities of urea.
Around six lakh acres of crops have been cultivated across Siddipet district during the current Kharif season.
The crop-wise area includes more than 3 lakh acres of paddy, around 75,000 acres of cotton, approximately 80,000 acres of maize, and nearly 1 lakh acres of chilli and other vegetable crops.
With such a large cultivated area, farmers say timely availability of fertilizer is essential to protect crop productivity.
Farmers Demand Immediate Urea Supply
Farmers are demanding that the government immediately address the urea shortage in Telangana and ensure that adequate fertilizer stocks reach dealers according to local demand.
They are also seeking urgent technical improvements to the fertilizer booking app so that genuine farmers can book urea without facing server failures, OTP delays or disappearing stock information.
Farmers further want the government to correct errors in the Farmer Registry and map the missing LG codes so that all eligible villages are properly included in the fertilizer distribution system.
Supply Must Match Ground Reality
Farmers argue that simply displaying fertilizer availability through an app will not solve the problem unless sufficient stock is physically available.
The government needs to ensure that urea supply matches actual agricultural demand, particularly during critical crop growth periods.
For farmers in Siddipet, the issue is now not merely about accessing an app but about getting urea fertilizer on time to protect their crops and incomes.
With the Kharif season progressing, farmers are urging the authorities to act quickly before the urea shortage causes further damage to paddy, maize and other crops across the district.
