అమెరికా పర్యటనపై రేవంత్ రెడ్డి క్లారిటీ ఇవ్వాలి: కిషన్ రెడ్డి
న్యూఢిల్లీ, ఆగస్టు 25: తెలంగాణ ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి అమెరికా పర్యటనపై కేంద్ర బొగ్గు, గనుల శాఖ మంత్రి జి. కిషన్ రెడ్డి తీవ్ర వ్యాఖ్యలు చేశారు. అమెరికా పర్యటనకు కేంద్రం అనుమతి ఇవ్వలేదని, రాజకీయ కారణాలతోనే తన పర్యటనను అడ్డుకున్నారని సీఎం రేవంత్ రెడ్డి చేసిన ఆరోపణలను కిషన్ రెడ్డి కొట్టిపారేశారు. రేవంత్ రెడ్డి అమెరికా పర్యటన వ్యవహారంపై ముఖ్యమంత్రి ప్రజలకు స్పష్టత ఇవ్వాలని డిమాండ్ చేశారు.
మంగళవారం న్యూఢిల్లీలో మీడియాతో మాట్లాడిన కిషన్ రెడ్డి.. ముఖ్యమంత్రుల విదేశీ పర్యటనలకు సంబంధించి కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం కొత్తగా ఎలాంటి నిబంధనలు తీసుకురాలేదని స్పష్టం చేశారు. స్వాతంత్ర్యం వచ్చినప్పటి నుంచి అమల్లో ఉన్న నిబంధనల ప్రకారమే విదేశీ పర్యటనలకు అనుమతుల ప్రక్రియ కొనసాగుతోందన్నారు. సీఎం రేవంత్ రెడ్డి అమెరికా టూర్ విషయంలోనూ ఇదే సాధారణ ప్రక్రియ జరిగిందని, ఇందులో రాజకీయాలకు ఎలాంటి సంబంధం లేదని పేర్కొన్నారు.
అనుమతులు లేకుండా ఎందుకు వెళ్లారు?
అమెరికా పర్యటనకు అనుమతి లేకుండా ఎందుకు వెళ్లాల్సి వచ్చింది? అని సీఎం రేవంత్ రెడ్డిని కిషన్ రెడ్డి ప్రశ్నించారు. రాజకీయ కారణాలతో కేంద్రం తన అమెరికా పర్యటనను అడ్డుకుందని సీఎం చెప్పడం అర్థరహితమని విమర్శించారు. ముఖ్యమంత్రి స్థాయికి తగిన విధంగా ఈ వ్యవహారంపై రేవంత్ రెడ్డి వ్యవహరించలేదని అన్నారు.
గుజరాత్ ముఖ్యమంత్రికి అమెరికా పర్యటనకు అనుమతి ఇచ్చి, తెలంగాణ ముఖ్యమంత్రికి మాత్రం అనుమతి నిరాకరించారంటూ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి చేసిన వాదనను కిషన్ రెడ్డి వితండవాదంగా అభివర్ణించారు. నిబంధనలు వ్యక్తులను బట్టి మారవని స్పష్టం చేశారు.
మామ్దానీతో భేటీపై కిషన్ రెడ్డి ప్రశ్నలు
రేవంత్ రెడ్డి అమెరికా పర్యటన నేపథ్యంలో న్యూయార్క్ మేయర్ జొహ్రాన్ మామ్దానీతో సీఎం భేటీ కానున్నారంటూ వచ్చిన వార్తలపైనా కిషన్ రెడ్డి స్పందించారు. భారత్పై ప్రతికూల వ్యాఖ్యలు చేసిన వ్యక్తితో సీఎం ఎందుకు సమావేశం కావాలనుకుంటున్నారో రేవంత్ రెడ్డి సమాధానం చెప్పాలని డిమాండ్ చేశారు.
ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీపై గతంలో మామ్దానీ చేసిన వ్యాఖ్యలను ఈ సందర్భంగా కిషన్ రెడ్డి ప్రస్తావించారు. దేశ ప్రయోజనాలను దృష్టిలో ఉంచుకుని విదేశీ పర్యటనలు, విదేశీ నేతలతో సమావేశాల విషయంలో జాగ్రత్త అవసరమని సూచించారు.
గతంలో తన పర్యటనను కూడా తిరస్కరించారు
తనకు కూడా గతంలో విదేశీ పర్యటనకు కేంద్ర విదేశాంగ శాఖ అనుమతి నిరాకరించిన సందర్భం ఉందని కిషన్ రెడ్డి వెల్లడించారు. దేశ ప్రయోజనాలను దృష్టిలో ఉంచుకునే విదేశాంగ శాఖ ఆ నిర్ణయం తీసుకుందని చెప్పారు. అందువల్ల రేవంత్ రెడ్డి అమెరికా పర్యటనకు అనుమతి విషయంలోనూ రాజకీయ కోణాన్ని ఆపాదించడం సరికాదన్నారు.
గుజరాత్ ముఖ్యమంత్రికి అమెరికా వెళ్లేందుకు అనుమతి ఇచ్చి తనకు ఇవ్వలేదన్న రేవంత్ రెడ్డి వాదనను ఆయన మరోసారి తప్పుబట్టారు. నరేంద్ర మోదీ గుజరాత్ ముఖ్యమంత్రిగా ఉన్న సమయంలో నాటి కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వం ఆయన విదేశీ పర్యటనకు అనుమతి నిరాకరించిన విషయాన్ని కిషన్ రెడ్డి గుర్తు చేశారు.
హార్వర్డ్ కోర్సుకు అనుమతి ఇచ్చాం
అయితే రేవంత్ రెడ్డికి హార్వర్డ్ బిజినెస్ స్కూల్ కోర్సు చదివేందుకు కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం అనుమతి ఇచ్చిందని కిషన్ రెడ్డి తెలిపారు. ముఖ్యమంత్రి విదేశీ పర్యటనల విషయంలో కేంద్రం రాజకీయ కక్షతో వ్యవహరిస్తోందన్న ఆరోపణలకు ఇది సమాధానమని పేర్కొన్నారు.
గతంలో కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వాలు కూడా కాంగ్రెస్, ఇతర పార్టీలకు చెందిన ముఖ్యమంత్రుల విదేశీ పర్యటనలను రద్దు చేసిన సందర్భాలు ఉన్నాయని కిషన్ రెడ్డి అన్నారు. కాబట్టి అమెరికా పర్యటనపై రేవంత్ రెడ్డి ఆరోపణలు రాజకీయంగా చేయడం సరికాదని వ్యాఖ్యానించారు.
కులగణనపై తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వంపై విమర్శలు
ఇదే సమయంలో తెలంగాణలో చేపట్టిన కులగణనపైనా కిషన్ రెడ్డి విమర్శలు చేశారు. తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం కులగణనలో విఫలమైందని ఆరోపించారు. హైదరాబాద్లో సుమారు 20 శాతం ఇళ్లలో కులగణన జరగలేదని పేర్కొన్నారు.
కులగణనపై కాంగ్రెస్ అగ్రనేత రాహుల్ గాంధీకి సరైన అవగాహన లేదని కిషన్ రెడ్డి ఎద్దేవా చేశారు. తెలంగాణలో కులగణన ప్రక్రియ, దాని ఫలితాలపై ప్రభుత్వం సమగ్ర వివరాలను ప్రజల ముందుంచాలని డిమాండ్ చేశారు.
మొత్తంగా రేవంత్ రెడ్డి అమెరికా పర్యటన, కేంద్ర అనుమతుల వ్యవహారం, మామ్దానీతో భేటీ, కులగణన అంశాలపై కేంద్ర మంత్రి కిషన్ రెడ్డి చేసిన వ్యాఖ్యలు తెలంగాణ రాజకీయాల్లో మరోసారి చర్చనీయాంశంగా మారాయి.

Kishan Reddy Demands Clarity from Revanth Reddy Over US Tour
New Delhi, August 25: Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy has demanded clarity from Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy over his proposed US tour, strongly rejecting the Chief Minister’s allegation that the Centre blocked his visit for political reasons.
Reacting to Revanth Reddy’s US tour controversy in New Delhi on Tuesday, Kishan Reddy said the Chief Minister’s claims were baseless and politically motivated. He questioned why Revanth Reddy sought to undertake a foreign visit without the required clearances and said the issue should not be portrayed as a political confrontation between the Telangana government and the Centre.
Kishan Reddy Questions Revanth Reddy Over US Tour
Kishan Reddy said the rules governing foreign visits by Chief Ministers were not introduced by the present government. According to him, the Centre was only following the established procedures that have been in place since Independence.
“This is a normal administrative process and there is no politics involved,” Kishan Reddy said, responding to the allegations surrounding the Revanth Reddy US tour.
The Union Minister argued that permission for foreign travel depends on various factors and cannot be compared simply by citing the overseas visits of Chief Ministers from other states.
‘Why Was Revanth Reddy Travelling Without Permission?’
Kishan Reddy directly questioned why Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy wanted to undertake the US tour without the necessary approvals.
He also criticised the Chief Minister for comparing his proposed US visit with the foreign travel of the Gujarat Chief Minister. Kishan Reddy described Revanth Reddy’s argument as unreasonable and said different cases cannot be compared without considering the circumstances and applicable procedures.
The Union Minister maintained that the US tour controversy involving Revanth Reddy should not be turned into a political issue.
Kishan Reddy Raises Questions Over Mamdani Meeting
Kishan Reddy also raised questions over reports that Revanth Reddy was scheduled to meet New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani during his US visit.
The Union Minister referred to Mamdani’s previous criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and questioned why the Telangana Chief Minister wanted to meet him.
Kishan Reddy demanded that Revanth Reddy clarify the purpose of his proposed meeting with Mamdani and explain the significance of the meeting in the context of India’s national interests.
The remarks have added another dimension to the ongoing Revanth Reddy US tour controversy, with the BJP and Congress continuing to trade allegations over the issue.
‘My Foreign Visit Was Also Denied’
Kishan Reddy said the Ministry of External Affairs had also denied permission for one of his foreign visits in the past.
He claimed that the decision was taken keeping India’s national interests in mind and argued that the same administrative considerations can apply to any political leader, including a Chief Minister.
Responding to Revanth Reddy’s argument that the Gujarat Chief Minister was allowed to visit the United States while he was denied permission, Kishan Reddy recalled that Narendra Modi, when he was Gujarat Chief Minister, had also faced restrictions on a foreign visit during the previous Congress-led government.
According to Kishan Reddy, the history of foreign travel approvals shows that such decisions are not necessarily linked to the political party in power.
Centre Allowed Revanth Reddy to Attend Harvard Business Course
Kishan Reddy further pointed out that the Centre had previously granted permission to Revanth Reddy to attend a Harvard business course.
He said this demonstrated that the Centre does not automatically deny foreign travel permissions to the Telangana Chief Minister. Kishan Reddy also alleged that Congress governments in the past had cancelled or denied foreign visits of Chief Ministers.
He therefore rejected the allegation that the Revanth Reddy US tour was blocked because of political reasons.
Kishan Reddy Targets Telangana Government Over Caste Census
Apart from the Revanth Reddy US tour, Kishan Reddy also criticised the Telangana government over the implementation of the caste census in Telangana.
He alleged that the Telangana government had failed in the caste census exercise and claimed that the caste enumeration process had not covered around 20 per cent of households in Hyderabad.
The Union Minister questioned the effectiveness of the caste census conducted by the Telangana government and said the state government should provide clarity on the process and its implementation.
‘Rahul Gandhi Has No Understanding of Caste Census’
Kishan Reddy also targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, alleging that he lacked a proper understanding of the caste census issue.
His remarks come amid an intense political debate over caste enumeration, reservations and social justice in Telangana and across the country.
The BJP leader said the Congress leadership should first address alleged shortcomings in the Telangana caste census before making political claims on the issue.
