ఖాట్మండు: నేపాల్లో రుతుపవనాలు చురుగ్గా కదులుతుండటంతో పలు ప్రాంతాల్లో భారీ వర్షాలు కురుస్తున్నాయి. ఎడతెరిపి లేకుండా కురుస్తున్న వర్షాల కారణంగా దేశంలోని అనేక నదుల్లో నీటిమట్టం ప్రమాదకర స్థాయికి చేరింది. దీంతో వరద ముప్పు పొంచి ఉందని నేపాల్ ప్రభుత్వం ప్రజలను అప్రమత్తం చేసింది.
ముఖ్యంగా నేపాల్లోని మధ్య, పశ్చిమ, తూర్పు ప్రాంతాల్లో భారీ వర్షాలు కొనసాగే అవకాశం ఉండటంతో ప్రజలు అత్యంత జాగ్రత్తగా ఉండాలని అధికారులు సూచించారు. లోతట్టు ప్రాంతాల్లో నివసించే ప్రజలు నదులు, వాగులు, కాలువలకు దూరంగా ఉండాలని హెచ్చరికలు జారీ చేశారు.
ప్రమాదకర స్థాయిని దాటిన నదులు

అదేవిధంగా లామ్జుంగ్ జిల్లాలోని మార్సాంగ్డి నది, భుకుండేబేసి ప్రాంతంలోని నీటిమట్టం పర్యవేక్షణ కేంద్రాల్లోనూ నీటి ప్రవాహం ప్రమాదకర స్థాయిని దాటినట్లు అధికారులు వెల్లడించారు.
నదుల్లో నీటి ప్రవాహం మరింత పెరిగే అవకాశం ఉండటంతో ఆకస్మిక వరదలు వచ్చే ప్రమాదం ఉందని అధికారులు హెచ్చరిస్తున్నారు.
లోతట్టు ప్రాంతాల ప్రజలకు హెచ్చరిక
భారీ వర్షాల నేపథ్యంలో లోతట్టు ప్రాంతాల్లో వరద ముప్పు మరింత పెరిగే అవకాశం ఉందని నేపాల్ అధికారులు అంచనా వేస్తున్నారు. నదుల పరివాహక ప్రాంతాలు, లోతట్టు ప్రాంతాలు, కొండ ప్రాంతాల్లో నివసించే ప్రజలు అప్రమత్తంగా ఉండాలని సూచించారు.
