తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర సాధన కోసం జీవితాంతం పోరాడిన మహనీయుడు, స్వాతంత్ర్య సమరయోధుడు, తెలంగాణవాది, సామాజిక న్యాయం కోసం నిరంతరం ఉద్యమించిన ఆచార్య కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీ వర్ధంతి సందర్భంగా జాతీయ బీసీ సంక్షేమ సంఘం జాతీయ ఉపాధ్యక్షుడు గుజ్జ సత్యం ఘన నివాళులు అర్పించారు.
“సామాజిక తెలంగాణ సాధనే కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీకి మనమిచ్చే నిజమైన ఘన నివాళి” అని గుజ్జ సత్యం పేర్కొన్నారు.
తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమ చరిత్రలో కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీది ప్రత్యేకమైన స్థానం అని ఆయన అన్నారు. స్వాతంత్ర్య ఉద్యమం నుంచి నిజాం వ్యతిరేక పోరాటం, తెలంగాణ తొలి దశ ఉద్యమం, మలిదశ తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమం వరకు కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీ ప్రజా సమస్యలపై తన గళాన్ని వినిపించారని గుర్తుచేశారు.
తెలంగాణ కోసం మంత్రి పదవిని సైతం త్యాగం
ప్రత్యేక తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర సాధన కోసం 1969లో మంత్రి పదవికి రాజీనామా చేయడం కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీ నిబద్ధతకు నిదర్శనమని గుజ్జ సత్యం అన్నారు.
పదవులు, రాజకీయ ప్రయోజనాల కంటే తెలంగాణ ప్రజల ఆకాంక్షలకే కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీ ప్రాధాన్యత ఇచ్చారని తెలిపారు. తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రం కోసం తన రాజకీయ జీవితాన్ని, వ్యక్తిగత ఆస్తులను సైతం అంకితం చేసిన త్యాగధనుడిగా ఆయన చరిత్రలో నిలిచిపోయారని పేర్కొన్నారు. కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీ 1969 తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమానికి మద్దతుగా మంత్రి పదవికి రాజీనామా చేసిన విషయం చారిత్రక ఆధారాల్లో నమోదై ఉంది.
మలిదశ తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమానికి జలదృశ్యం కేంద్రంగా మారింది
కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీ నివాసం ‘జలదృశ్యం’ మలిదశ తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమ చరిత్రలో కీలకమైన ప్రదేశంగా నిలిచిందని గుజ్జ సత్యం అన్నారు.
తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర సమితి ఆవిర్భావానికి జలదృశ్యం వేదికగా నిలిచిందని, అక్కడి నుంచే మలిదశ తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమానికి ఒక కొత్త రాజకీయ దిశ ఏర్పడిందని చారిత్రక వివరాలు పేర్కొంటున్నాయి. 2026లో కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీ వర్ధంతి సందర్భంగా పలువురు నాయకులు కూడా జలదృశ్యం ప్రాధాన్యతను గుర్తుచేశారు.
తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర సాధన కోసం చివరి దశలో కూడా వయసును లెక్కచేయకుండా ఉద్యమించిన కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీ పోరాట స్ఫూర్తి నేటి తరానికి ఆదర్శంగా నిలవాలని గుజ్జ సత్యం అన్నారు.
బీసీల హక్కుల కోసం కూడా నిరంతర పోరాటం
కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీ కేవలం తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమ నాయకుడు మాత్రమే కాదు.. సామాజిక న్యాయం, బీసీల హక్కులు, చేనేత కార్మికుల సమస్యల కోసం పోరాడిన సామాజిక ఉద్యమ నాయకుడు అని గుజ్జ సత్యం పేర్కొన్నారు.
వెనుకబడిన వర్గాల సామాజిక, ఆర్థిక అభివృద్ధి కోసం ఆయన చేసిన కృషిని నేటి తరం గుర్తించాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందన్నారు. బీసీలకు విద్య, ఉపాధి, రాజకీయ రంగాల్లో తగిన ప్రాతినిధ్యం కల్పించాలనే ఆలోచనలను ముందుకు తీసుకెళ్లిన సామాజిక ఉద్యమాలకు కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీ జీవితం స్ఫూర్తిదాయకమని తెలిపారు.
సామాజిక తెలంగాణే బాపూజీ ఆశయాలకు నిజమైన గౌరవం
తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రం ఏర్పడటంతో కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీ కలలలో ఒక ముఖ్యమైన భాగం సాకారమైందని, అయితే సామాజిక న్యాయం, సమాన అవకాశాలు, బలహీన వర్గాల అభివృద్ధి, బీసీలకు తగిన రాజకీయ ప్రాతినిధ్యం వంటి అంశాల్లో మరింత ముందుకు వెళ్లాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని గుజ్జ సత్యం అన్నారు.
“కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీ ఆశయాలను కేవలం వర్ధంతి రోజున స్మరించుకోవడం మాత్రమే కాకుండా, ఆయన ఆశయాలకు అనుగుణంగా సామాజిక తెలంగాణ నిర్మాణం కోసం కృషి చేయాలి” అని ఆయన పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
తెలంగాణలో ప్రతి వర్గానికి సమాన అవకాశాలు, ప్రతి కుటుంబానికి గౌరవప్రదమైన జీవనం, బలహీన వర్గాలకు సామాజిక న్యాయం, బీసీలకు జనాభా ప్రాతిపదికన తగిన ప్రాతినిధ్యం లభించేలా ప్రజా ఉద్యమాలు కొనసాగాలని గుజ్జ సత్యం అన్నారు.
మూడు తరాలకు స్ఫూర్తిగా కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీ
స్వాతంత్ర్య సమరయోధుడిగా, న్యాయవాదిగా, రాజకీయ నాయకుడిగా, తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమకారుడిగా, బీసీ ఉద్యమ నాయకుడిగా, చేనేత కార్మికుల సంక్షేమం కోసం పోరాడిన సామాజికవేత్తగా కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీ జీవితం అనేక ఉద్యమాలకు అనుసంధానమై ఉందని గుజ్జ సత్యం తెలిపారు.
తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర సాధన కోసం తన జీవితంలోని చివరి దశ వరకు పోరాడిన కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీ 2012 సెప్టెంబర్ 21న కన్నుమూశారు. ఆయన మరణించి సంవత్సరాలు గడిచినా తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమ చరిత్రలో ఆయన పేరు, ఆయన పోరాట స్ఫూర్తి చిరస్థాయిగా నిలిచిపోయాయని పేర్కొన్నారు.
“తెలంగాణ కోసం కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీ చేసిన త్యాగాలను స్మరించుకుంటూ.. సామాజిక న్యాయం, సమానత్వం, బీసీల హక్కులు, ప్రజాస్వామ్య విలువల పరిరక్షణ కోసం మనమంతా ముందుకు సాగడమే ఆయనకు మనమిచ్చే నిజమైన ఘన నివాళి” అని గుజ్జ సత్యం అన్నారు.

Hyderabad, September 21, 2026: On the death anniversary of veteran Telangana leader, freedom fighter and social reformer Konda Laxman Bapuji, National BC Welfare Association National Vice President Gujja Sathyam paid rich tributes and said that building a socially just Telangana would be the most meaningful tribute to his life and ideals.
Remembering Konda Laxman Bapuji, Gujja Sathyam described him as a committed Telangana leader whose public life was closely associated with the struggle for Telangana, social justice and the welfare of weaker sections.
Konda Laxman Bapuji’s contribution to Telangana movement
Konda Laxman Bapuji occupies an important place in the history of the Telangana movement. His public life reflected his commitment to Telangana and to social causes. The Telangana government has also officially described Konda Laxman Bapuji as a Telangana movement leader who sacrificed positions for the cause of Telangana.
Gujja Sathyam said that the sacrifices made by Konda Laxman Bapuji should continue to inspire present and future generations.
“Remembering Konda Laxman Bapuji should not be limited to paying tributes on his death anniversary. His ideals must become a guiding force for building a Telangana based on social justice, equality and opportunities for every section of society,” Gujja Sathyam said.

According to the Telangana State Portal, Konda Laxman Bapuji is remembered for giving up political positions in support of the Telangana cause. His contribution has been officially recognised by the Telangana government in connection with the state’s movement history.
Gujja Sathyam said that Konda Laxman Bapuji’s life was a symbol of commitment and sacrifice and that his contribution should be studied by young people interested in Telangana history.
Social justice must remain central to Telangana
Gujja Sathyam emphasised that the idea of Social Telangana should involve equal opportunities, social justice and meaningful representation for disadvantaged communities.
He said that the aspirations associated with Telangana should be reflected not only in economic development but also in social empowerment and equal participation.
“Social Telangana is the true tribute to Konda Laxman Bapuji. The values of equality, social justice and dignity for every community must remain at the heart of Telangana’s development,” he said.
Connection with handloom and Telangana heritage
Konda Laxman Bapuji’s name continues to be associated with Telangana’s handloom sector. The state government renamed the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology in Hyderabad as the Konda Laxman Bapuji Indian Institute of Handloom Technology in September 2024.
The Telangana government has also instituted Konda Laxman Bapuji State Awards for weavers and designers, recognising contributions to the handloom sector.
Gujja Sathyam said that remembering Konda Laxman Bapuji should also mean strengthening the dignity and livelihoods of traditional communities and preserving Telangana’s cultural and handloom heritage.
Inspiration for the younger generation
Gujja Sathyam called upon the younger generation to learn about the history of the Telangana movement and the contributions of leaders such as Konda Laxman Bapuji.
He said that the values associated with Konda Laxman Bapuji—commitment, sacrifice, social justice and concern for ordinary people—remain relevant even today.
He reiterated that building a Social Telangana based on equality and justice would be the most fitting tribute to Konda Laxman Bapuji.
