అంబేడ్కర్ స్ఫూర్తితో దళిత సంక్షేమం అవుకుమెట్టలో కొత్త విగ్రహం ఏర్పాటు
రాజ్యాంగ నిర్మాత డాక్టర్ బీఆర్ అంబేడ్కర్ స్ఫూర్తితోనే రాష్ట్ర అభివృద్ధి కొనసాగుతోందని, సీఎం నారా చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు ఆధ్వర్యంలోని కూటమి ప్రభుత్వం దళిత సంక్షేమం, దళిత అభివృద్ధి, సామాజిక న్యాయం లక్ష్యంగా కృషి చేస్తోందని మంత్రి బీసీ జనార్దన్ రెడ్డి పేర్కొన్నారు.
బనగానపల్లె అవుకుమెట్ట ప్రాంతంలో జరిగిన అంబేడ్కర్ జయంతి వేడుకలు, Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations, Dalit welfare programs సందర్భంగా మంత్రి పాల్గొని, అంబేడ్కర్ విగ్రహానికి పూలమాల వేసి ఘన నివాళులు అర్పించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా మాట్లాడుతూ, Indian Constitution, democracy in India, social justice policies అన్నీ అంబేడ్కర్ చూపిన మార్గంలోనే నడుస్తున్నాయని తెలిపారు.
మంత్రి మాట్లాడుతూ, “డాక్టర్ బీఆర్ అంబేడ్కర్ రచించిన భారత రాజ్యాంగం వల్లనే దేశంలో ప్రజాస్వామ్యం బలపడింది. నేటి రాజకీయ నాయకులు, యువత Ambedkar ideology, constitutional values, Dalit empowerment స్ఫూర్తితో ముందుకు సాగాల్సిన అవసరం ఉంది” అని అన్నారు.
ఇంకా అవుకుమెట్టలో ఉన్న అంబేడ్కర్ విగ్రహం ప్రస్తుతం శిథిలావస్థకు చేరుకుందని, రోడ్డు విస్తరణ (road expansion project) కారణంగా దాన్ని వేరే ప్రదేశానికి తరలించాల్సి ఉంటుందని మంత్రి తెలిపారు. త్వరలోనే సరైన స్థలాన్ని ఎంపిక చేసి, new Ambedkar statue installation, Dalit pride symbol, social justice iconగా నిలిచేలా కొత్త విగ్రహాన్ని ప్రతిష్ఠాత్మకంగా ఏర్పాటు చేస్తామని వెల్లడించారు.
స్థానిక నాయకులతో చర్చించి, చిరస్థాయిగా నిలిచేలా, ప్రజలకు స్ఫూర్తినిచ్చేలా అంబేడ్కర్ విగ్రహాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేయనున్నట్లు మంత్రి బీసీ జనార్దన్ రెడ్డి స్పష్టం చేశారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి భారీగా దళిత సంఘాల నాయకులు, కూటమి నాయకులు, కార్యకర్తలు హాజరై అంబేడ్కర్ జయంతిని ఘనంగా నిర్వహించారు.

Ambedkar Jayanti AP Govt Boosts Dalit Welfare and New Statue Plan
Inspired by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is steering the coalition government with a strong commitment to Dalit welfare, Dalit development, and social justice, said Minister BC Janardhan Reddy.
Speaking at the Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations, Ambedkar Jayanti 2026, held at Avukumetta near Banaganapalle, the minister paid floral tributes to Ambedkar’s statue and highlighted the enduring relevance of Ambedkar ideology, Indian Constitution, and democracy in India. He stated that the governance model of the current AP government is deeply rooted in constitutional values, equality, and inclusive growth envisioned by Dr. Ambedkar.
The minister emphasized that Dalit empowerment, social justice policies, and inclusive development remain top priorities for the government. He noted that several welfare initiatives are being implemented to uplift marginalized communities and ensure equal opportunities in education, employment, and economic growth. According to him, Ambedkar Jayanti is not just a commemorative event but a reminder to strengthen Dalit rights, social equality, and democratic values.
Highlighting the importance of leadership, BC Janardhan Reddy urged present-day politicians and youth to follow Ambedkar principles, Ambedkar ideology, and constitutional governance, ensuring that the vision of a just and equitable society becomes a reality.
On the infrastructure front, the minister announced that the existing Ambedkar statue at Avukumetta has fallen into a dilapidated condition and will be relocated due to an ongoing road expansion project. He assured that a new and grand Ambedkar statue installation will be undertaken at a suitable and prominent location. The new statue will stand as a symbol of Dalit pride, social justice icon, and Ambedkar legacy, reflecting the government’s dedication to preserving Ambedkar’s ideals.
He further added that discussions with local leaders and community representatives are underway to identify the best location for the statue. The installation will be carried out in a prestigious manner so that it becomes a landmark representing Ambedkar Jayanti, Dalit development, and social justice in Andhra Pradesh.
The event saw large participation from Dalit organizations, coalition leaders, and party workers, showcasing widespread support for Dalit welfare initiatives and Ambedkar ideology. The celebrations reinforced the government’s vision of building a society based on equality, justice, and inclusive development, keeping the teachings of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar at the forefront
