వడదెబ్బతో ఒక్కరోజే 40 మంది మృతి
భానుడి ప్రతాపంతో రాష్ట్రం భగ్గుమంటోంది.. మునుపెన్నడూ లేని విధంగా వడగాలులు వీస్తుండటంతో జనం విలవిల్లాడుతున్నారు. వరుసగా రెండో రోజూ వడదెబ్బతో 30కిపైగానే మరణాలు చోటుచేసుకున్నాయి. శనివారం వడదెబ్బకు 40 మంది ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోయారు. మృతుల్లో వృద్ధులు, కూలీలే ఎక్కువగా ఉన్నారు. పలు జిల్లాల్లో 46 డిగ్రీలకుపైనే ఎండలు కాశాయి. ఆసిఫాబాద్ జిల్లాలో కుంచవెళ్లి, కాగజ్నగర్లో 46.4, జగిత్యాల జిల్లా ధర్మపురి, భద్రాద్రి కొత్తగూడెం జిల్లా మణుగూరులో 46.3, ఖమ్మం రూరల్, అదే జిల్లా వైరా, మంచిర్యాల జిల్లా తాండూర్లో 46.1 డిగ్రీల చొప్పున ఉష్ణోగ్రతలు రికార్డయ్యాయి. గ్రేటర్ హైదరాబాద్లోని పలు ప్రాంతాల్లో 42 డిగ్రీలకు పైగా ఉష్ణోగ్రతలు నమోదవ్వగా.. దానికి తగ్గట్టుగా గ్రేటర్ పరిధిలో రికార్డు స్థాయిలో 4,782 మెగావాట్ల గరిష్ఠ విద్యుత్తు డిమాండ్ నమోదైంది. రోజువారీ విద్యుత్తు వినియోగం 101.07 మిలియన్ యూనిట్లుగా రికార్డయింది. వడదెబ్బతో ఉమ్మడి వరంగల్ జిల్లాలో అత్యధికంగా 19 మంది మృత్యువాత పడగా.. ఉమ్మడి నల్లగొండ, కరీంనగర్, ఖమ్మంలో ఆరుగురి చొప్పున, ఆదిలాబాద్లో ఇద్దరు, నిజామాబాద్లో ఒకరు మరణించారు. ఎండ వేడితో మూగజీవాలు సైతం ఉక్కిరిబిక్కిరవుతున్నాయి. మహబూబాబాద్లోని నీటి పారుదలశాఖ కార్యాలయంలో చింత చెట్టుపై ఉండే వందలాది గబ్బిలాలు ఒక్కసారిగా మృత్యువాత పడ్డాయి. మునిసిపల్ సిబ్బంది అక్కడకు చేరుకొని వాటిని దూరంగా తరలించి జేసీబీ సాయంతో సాయంతో గోతిని తీసి అందులో పూడ్చి ఖననం చేశారు. హనుమకొండ బాలసముద్రంలోని సబ్స్టేషన్లో ట్రాన్స్ఫార్మర్లు వేడెక్కకుండా వాటిపై విద్యుత్తు సిబ్బంది గోనె సంచి పట్టాలు కప్పి నీళ్లు చల్లారు.రైతు సజీవదహనం
పంట వ్యర్థాలను కాల్చుతూ ప్రమాదవశాత్తు అదే మంటల్లో పడి రైతు మృతి చెందగా.. అస్వస్థతకు గురైన రైతు భార్య ఆస్పత్రిలో గుండెపోటుతో మరణించింది. భూపాలపల్లి జిల్లా రేగొండ మండలం రేపాకపల్లెకు చెందిన చాగర్ల చంద్రమౌళి (62), భార్య భాగ్యమ్మ.. తమ సాగు భూమిలోని వరి కొయ్యలకు నిప్పుపెట్టగా మంటలు భారీగా వ్యాపించి చంద్రమౌళి వాటిలో చిక్కుకున్నాడు. ఈక్రమంలోనే అతడు స్పృహ కోల్పోయి ఆ మంటల్లోనే సజీవదహనమయ్యాడు. ఈ ఘటనలో పక్కనే ఉన్న భాగ్యమ్మ పొగ పీల్చడంతో తీవ్ర అస్వస్థతకు గురైంది. ఈ నేపథ్యంలోనే ఆస్ప్రతిలో చికిత్స పొందుతూ గుండెపోటు రావడంతో మరణించింది. మహబూబాబాద్ జిల్లా గంగారం మండలం బావురుగొండ గ్రామశివారులో రైతులు చుంచ పాపయ్య, వజ్జా జంపయ్యలకు చెందిన సుమారు 250 క్వింటాళ్ల మొక్కజొన్న పంట అగ్నికి ఆహుతైంది.

వచ్చే మూడు రోజుల పాటు ఐదారు జిల్లాలను మినహాయిస్తే.. అన్నిచోట్లా 40-42 డిగ్రీల మధ్య గరిష్ఠ ఉష్ణోగ్రతలు నమోదవుతాయని, ఆది, సోమవారాల్లో కొన్ని ఉత్తర, తూర్పు జిల్లాల్లో వడగాలులు వీచే అవకాశముందని హైదరాబాద్ వాతావరణ కేంద్రం హెచ్చరించింది. ఆదివారం ఆసిఫాబాద్, మంచిర్యాల, కరీంనగర్, పెద్దపల్లి, భూపాలపల్లి, ములుగు, ఖమ్మం, నల్లగొండ, సూర్యాపేట, మహబూబాబాద్, వరంగల్, హనుమకొండ జిల్లాల్లో వడగాలు వీస్తాయని పేర్కొంది. అలాగే ఆది, సోమవారాల్లో కొన్ని జిల్లాల్లో ఉరుములు, మెరుపులతో పాటు తేలికపాటి నుంచి మోస్తరు వర్షాలు కురిసే అవకాశముందని తెలిపింది.
ఎండల తీవ్రతపై మంత్రి పొంగులేటి సమీక్ష
ఎండల తీవ్రత దృష్ట్యా అధికార యంత్రాంగం అప్రమత్తంగా ఉండాలని రెవెన్యూ శాఖ మంత్రి పొంగులేటి శ్రీనివా్సరెడ్డి అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు. రానున్న మూడు రోజులు వడగాలుల తీవ్రత అధికంగా ఉంటుందన్న వాతావరణ విభాగం హెచ్చరికల నేపథ్యంలో కలెక్టర్లు అప్రమత్తంగా ఉండాలని సూచించారు. అధిక ఉష్ణోగ్రతలు, వడగాలుల తీవ్రతపై ఉన్నతాధికారులతో సమీక్ష నిర్వహించారు. వడదెబ్బ కారణంగా భూపాలపల్లి జిల్లాలో నలుగురు, వరంగల్ అర్బన్, కరీంనగర్, నిజామాబాద్ జిల్లాల్లో ముగ్గురు చొప్పున, గద్వాల, రంగారెడ్డి, సూర్యాపేట జిల్లాల్లో ఒక్కొక్కరు చొప్పున.. మొత్తం ఏడు జిల్లాల పరిధిలో 16 మంది మరణించినట్లు కలెక్టర్లు నివేదికలు పంపినట్లు చెప్పారు. వడదెబ్బ మృతుల కుటుంబాలకు రూ.4 లక్షల చొప్పున పరిహారం అందించాలని కలెక్టర్లను ఆదేశించారు. ఎండ తీవ్రత ఎక్కువ ఉండే ప్రాంతాల్లో ముందస్తు చర్యలు చేపట్టాలని, ప్రజలను అప్రమత్తం చేయాలని చెప్పారు. అత్యవసర వైద్యం అందించేందుకు వైద్యులు అందుబాటులో ఉండేలా కలెక్టర్లు చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని ఆదేశించారు.

Telangana is experiencing an intense heatwave, with soaring temperatures and severe hot winds affecting people across the state. In the last two days alone, more than 70 people reportedly lost their lives due to heatstroke and heat-related conditions, with elderly citizens and daily wage workers among the worst affected.
Several districts recorded extremely high temperatures above 46°C. Kunchavelli and Kagaznagar in Asifabad district touched 46.4°C, while Dharmapuri, Manuguru, Khammam Rural, Wyra, and Tandur also witnessed scorching temperatures above 46°C. In Hyderabad, temperatures crossed 42°C, leading to a record electricity demand of 4,782 MW and daily power consumption of 101.07 million units.
The severe heatwave has also affected animals and infrastructure. Hundreds of bats reportedly died due to extreme heat in Mahabubabad district, while electricity staff in Hanamkonda poured water on transformers to prevent overheating.
In a tragic incident in Bhupalpally district, a farmer accidentally got trapped in flames while burning crop residue and died on the spot. His wife, who inhaled smoke and was hospitalized, later died of a heart attack. In another incident, nearly 250 quintals of maize crop were destroyed in a fire.
The Hyderabad Meteorological Department warned that high temperatures between 40°C and 42°C are likely to continue for the next three days, with heatwave conditions expected in several northern and eastern districts. However, isolated thunderstorms and light to moderate rainfall are also possible in some areas.
Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy reviewed the situation with officials and instructed district administrations to remain alert. Authorities have been directed to ensure emergency medical services, create public awareness about heatstroke precautions, and provide ₹4 lakh compensation to the families of victims who died due to heatstroke.
