బైరెడ్డి శబరి మాట్లాడుతూ, “మహిళలకు ఉద్యోగాల్లో 30 శాతం రిజర్వేషన్లు ఇచ్చిన తొలి పార్టీ తెలుగుదేశం పార్టీ. మహిళలకు ఆస్తిలో హక్కులు కల్పించిన పార్టీ కూడా టీడీపీనే” అని తెలిపారు. అలాగే ఎన్టీ రామారావు తిరుపతిలో మహిళల కోసం ప్రత్యేక యూనివర్సిటీ ఏర్పాటు చేశారని గుర్తుచేశారు.
అదే విధంగా, మహిళల సంక్షేమం కోసం ప్రత్యేక కోర్టులు ఏర్పాటు చేయడం, నారా చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు ఆధ్వర్యంలో డ్వాక్రా సంఘాలను ప్రారంభించడం వంటి చర్యలను ఆమె ప్రస్తావించారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమాల ద్వారా ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ మహిళలకు ఆర్థిక స్వాతంత్ర్యం కల్పించామని ఆమె పేర్కొన్నారు.
“ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ను మహిళలను లక్షాధికారులను చేసిన రాష్ట్రంగా తీర్చిదిద్దాం. ప్రతి ఇంట్లో ఒక మహిళను వ్యాపారవేత్తగా తీర్చిదిద్దడం మా లక్ష్యం” అని శబరి స్పష్టం చేశారు. మహిళా రిజర్వేషన్ బిల్లు అమలు ద్వారా మహిళలకు రాజకీయాల్లో మరింత అవకాశాలు కల్పించాలని ఆమె కోరారు.

“Under TDP governance, Andhra Pradesh became a model state for women empowerment India, where women achieved financial independence and emerged as entrepreneurs. Our vision is to create one entrepreneur in every household,” Shabari stated during the Lok Sabha debate on Women Reservation Bill.
