తెలంగాణలో భవన నిర్మాణ కార్మికులకు పెన్షన్, లేబర్ కార్డులు – మంత్రి వివేక్ వెంకటస్వామి కీలక హామీ
భవన నిర్మాణ కార్మికుల సంక్షేమంపై తెలంగాణ కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వం దృష్టి సారించిందని మంత్రి వివేక్ వెంకటస్వామి తెలిపారు. రాష్ట్రంలో అన్ని రంగాల కార్మికులను ఆదుకునే దిశగా పలు కీలక నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకుంటున్నామని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు. ముఖ్యంగా భవన నిర్మాణ కార్మికులకు పెన్షన్, లేబర్ కార్డు, ప్రమాద బీమా వంటి పథకాలను త్వరలో అమలు చేయనున్నట్లు హామీ ఇచ్చారు.
సిద్దిపేటలో జరిగిన సమీక్షా సమావేశంలో మంత్రి మాట్లాడుతూ, తెలంగాణ కార్మికుల సంక్షేమం కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వ ప్రధాన లక్ష్యమని చెప్పారు. భవిష్యత్తులో ప్రతి జిల్లాలో భవన నిర్మాణ కార్మిక సంఘ భవనాలు నిర్మించేందుకు ప్రణాళికలు సిద్ధం చేస్తున్నామని వెల్లడించారు. అలాగే త్వరలోనే లేబర్ బోర్డు ఏర్పాటు చేసి, అన్ని కార్మికులకు లేబర్ కార్డులు, ఇందిరమ్మ ఇళ్లు, పెన్షన్లు, ప్రమాద బీమా అందేలా చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామని తెలిపారు.
మంత్రి వివేక్ వెంకటస్వామి మాట్లాడుతూ, సింగరేణి కార్మికుల సంక్షేమానికి తన తండ్రి కాకా వెంకటస్వామి చేసిన సేవలను గుర్తుచేశారు. అప్పటి ప్రధాన మంత్రి పీవీ నరసింహారావుతో పోరాడి సింగరేణి భూముల రక్షణ, కార్మికుల హక్కుల కోసం కృషి చేశారని చెప్పారు. అదే మార్గంలో తాను కూడా కార్మికుల సంక్షేమం కోసం కట్టుబడి పనిచేస్తానని పేర్కొన్నారు.
ప్రస్తుతం కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వం కార్మికుల ప్రమాద బీమా మొత్తాన్ని రూ.10 లక్షలకు పెంచిందని తెలిపారు. అదనంగా గిగ్ వర్కర్స్ భద్రత చట్టం అసెంబ్లీలో ప్రవేశపెట్టామని వెల్లడించారు. అలాగే హమాలీల సంక్షేమం కోసం ప్రత్యేక చట్టం తీసుకురావడానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నామని చెప్పారు.
సిద్దిపేటలో భవన నిర్మాణ కార్మిక సంఘం భవనం కోసం స్థలం కేటాయించి, దాని నిర్మాణానికి ప్రభుత్వం పూర్తి సహకారం అందిస్తుందని మంత్రి హామీ ఇచ్చారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా మాజీ మంత్రి హరీశ్ రావుపై విమర్శలు గుప్పించిన ఆయన, గతంలో ఇచ్చిన హామీలు కేవలం ఓట్ల కోసమేనని ఆరోపించారు.

The Telangana Congress Government is stepping up efforts to strengthen labour welfare schemes and support construction workers across the state. Minister Vivek Venkataswamy announced that the government is working on a comprehensive plan to provide construction workers pension, labour cards Telangana, and enhanced accident insurance for workers, ensuring social security for lakhs of labourers.
Addressing a review meeting with construction workers at the Congress party office in Siddipet, the minister said that special focus is being given to the unorganized sector, particularly Telangana construction workers, who often lack financial stability. These initiatives aim to create a structured safety net for all categories of workers in the state.
In a major infrastructure push, the minister stated that construction workers union buildings will be set up in every district. He also promised that in Siddipet, land will be allocated soon for the construction of a district construction workers union building, reinforcing the government’s commitment to worker welfare.
Recalling the legacy of his father, Kaka Venkataswamy, the minister highlighted his contributions to Singareni workers welfare. Inspired by this, he said he is determined to expand labour welfare in Telangana.
The minister also pointed out that the Telangana government has already increased accident insurance for workers to ₹10 lakh, a significant boost for worker safety. Additionally, a Gig Workers Safety Bill has been introduced in the Assembly to extend protection to modern workforce segments like delivery and app-based workers.
He added that the government is considering a special law for hamali workers welfare, ensuring that even daily wage labourers receive structured benefits under Telangana labour welfare schemes.
Taking a political dig, Vivek Venkataswamy criticized former minister Harish Rao, alleging that earlier promises made to construction workers in Siddipet were driven by electoral motives and were not fulfilled.
