చాకలి ఐలమ్మ పోరాట స్ఫూర్తి నేటి తరానికి ఆదర్శం కేసీఆర్
హైదరాబాద్, సెప్టెంబర్ 26, 2026: తెలంగాణ సాయుధ రైతాంగ పోరాట యోధురాలు, వీరనారి చాకలి ఐలమ్మ 131వ జయంతి సందర్భంగా మాజీ ముఖ్యమంత్రి, బీఆర్ఎస్ అధినేత కల్వకుంట్ల చంద్రశేఖర్ రావు (కేసీఆర్) ఘన నివాళులు అర్పించారు. తెలంగాణ ఆత్మగౌరవానికి ధిక్కార స్వరం, రాష్ట్ర తెగువకు నిలువెత్తు నిదర్శనం చాకలి ఐలమ్మ అని కేసీఆర్ పేర్కొన్నారు.
ఈ మేరకు కేసీఆర్ విడుదల చేసిన ప్రకటనలో చాకలి ఐలమ్మ పోరాటం, తెలంగాణ రైతాంగం, సబ్బండ కులాల ఆత్మగౌరవం, సామాజిక న్యాయం వంటి అంశాలను ప్రస్తావించారు. తెలంగాణ రైతాంగం, సబ్బండ కులాల అభ్యున్నతిని లక్ష్యంగా చేసుకుని పరిపాలన కొనసాగించినప్పుడే చాకలి ఐలమ్మకు నిజమైన నివాళి అర్పించినట్లవుతుందని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు.

నాటి రాచరిక పాలనలో రైతాంగం ఎదుర్కొన్న సమస్యలపై చాకలి ఐలమ్మ ధైర్యంగా గళమెత్తారని కేసీఆర్ అన్నారు. భూస్వామ్య ఆధిపత్యాన్ని ఎదురించి, తన హక్కుల కోసం పోరాడిన ఐలమ్మ అణచివేతకు గురవుతున్న సబ్బండ కులాల ఆత్మగౌరవానికి ప్రతీకగా నిలిచారని పేర్కొన్నారు.

తాను శాంతియుత పంథాలో చేపట్టిన మలిదశ తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమంలో చాకలి ఐలమ్మ పోరాట స్ఫూర్తి ఇమిడి ఉందని కేసీఆర్ పేర్కొన్నారు. తెలంగాణ ఆత్మగౌరవం, హక్కులు, సామాజిక న్యాయం కోసం జరిగిన ఉద్యమాల చరిత్రలో ఐలమ్మకు ప్రత్యేక స్థానం ఉందని ఆయన వివరించారు.
చాకలి ఐలమ్మ జయంతిని అధికారికంగా నిర్వహించే సంప్రదాయాన్ని తమ ప్రభుత్వ హయాంలో తీసుకొచ్చామని కేసీఆర్ తెలిపారు. భవిష్యత్ తరాలకు ఐలమ్మ గొప్పతనాన్ని తెలియజేయాలనే ఉద్దేశంతో ఈ కార్యక్రమాలకు ప్రాధాన్యం ఇచ్చామని చెప్పారు. ప్రస్తుతం కూడా రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం సెప్టెంబర్ 26న చాకలి ఐలమ్మ 131వ జయంతి కార్యక్రమాలను అధికారికంగా నిర్వహిస్తోంది.

చాకలి ఐలమ్మ ఆశయాలకు అనుగుణంగా తమ పదేళ్ల పాలనలో మహిళలు, శిశువులు, రైతాంగం, సబ్బండ కులాల అభ్యున్నతి కోసం పలు కార్యక్రమాలు చేపట్టామని కేసీఆర్ పేర్కొన్నారు.
తెలంగాణ గ్రామీణ ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థను బలోపేతం చేయడంతో పాటు కులవృత్తులకు ప్రోత్సాహం కల్పించామని, సబ్బండ కులాల ఆర్థిక, సామాజిక ఆత్మగౌరవాన్ని పెంపొందించే చర్యలు చేపట్టామని ఆయన తెలిపారు. తమ ప్రభుత్వ హయాంలో అమలు చేసిన పలు కార్యక్రమాలు దేశవ్యాప్తంగా చర్చకు వచ్చాయని కేసీఆర్ పేర్కొన్నారు.

Hyderabad, September 26, 2026: Former Telangana Chief Minister and BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) paid tribute to legendary Telangana peasant leader Chakali Ailamma on her 131st birth anniversary, describing her as a powerful symbol of Telangana self-respect, courage and resistance against oppression.
In a statement issued on the occasion of Chakali Ailamma Jayanti, KCR said Ailamma represented the defiant spirit of Telangana and stood as an enduring symbol of the struggle for the legitimate rights of farmers and the dignity of oppressed communities. He said genuine tribute to Chakali Ailamma would come through governance focused on the welfare and advancement of farmers and marginalised communities.
The Telangana government is also officially observing Chakali Ailamma’s 131st birth anniversary on September 26. Recent reports said state-level celebrations are being organised to commemorate her contribution to Telangana’s social and peasant movements.
Chakali Ailamma’s struggle remains an inspiration
KCR recalled Chakali Ailamma’s struggle against feudal landlords and her determination to defend the rights of farmers during the Nizam-era period. According to KCR, Ailamma’s resistance demonstrated both courage and a commitment to justice.
He said Chakali Ailamma did not limit her fight to resistance against landlords but also pursued her rights through the legal system available at the time. KCR described this aspect of her struggle as evidence of her democratic commitment.
Chakali Ailamma is widely remembered as an important figure associated with the Telangana Peasant Armed Struggle, particularly for her resistance to feudal authority and exploitation. Historical accounts identify her with the Rajaka community and note her opposition to landlord domination and forced labour.
Ailamma’s courage relevant to today’s generation KCR
KCR said the Chakali Ailamma struggle continues to hold relevance for the present generation. He highlighted her courage, democratic approach and determination to stand up for people’s rights as qualities that can inspire today’s youth.
According to KCR, the spirit of Ailamma’s struggle was also reflected in the broader movement for Telangana statehood. He said his own movement for a separate Telangana state followed a peaceful democratic path and that the legacy of figures such as Chakali Ailamma formed part of Telangana’s historical consciousness.
The former Chief Minister also recalled that the BRS government introduced the tradition of officially observing Chakali Ailamma Jayanti, with the objective of taking her legacy and contribution to future generations.

KCR said that during the BRS government’s decade in office, several programmes were implemented for farmers, women, children and marginalised communities, which he linked to the ideals represented by Chakali Ailamma.
He said efforts were made to strengthen the rural economy and revive traditional caste-based occupations. According to KCR, these initiatives were aimed at improving the economic and social status of various communities and strengthening their sense of dignity.
KCR further claimed that several programmes implemented during the BRS tenure produced outcomes that attracted attention beyond Telangana.
