హైదరాబాద్, అక్టోబర్ 2: తెలంగాణ రాజకీయాల్లో బీఆర్‌ఎస్–కాంగ్రెస్ రాజకీయ పోరు మరోసారి వేడెక్కుతోంది. ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి సిరిసిల్లలో నిర్వహించిన సభకు కౌంటర్‌గా త్వరలో కొడంగల్‌లో బీఆర్‌ఎస్ భారీ సభ నిర్వహించనున్నట్లు మాజీ మంత్రి, బీఆర్‌ఎస్ నేత తలసాని శ్రీనివాస్ యాదవ్ ప్రకటించారు. కొడంగల్‌లో నిర్వహించే బీఆర్‌ఎస్ సభతో ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డికి చెమటలు పట్టిస్తామని ఆయన వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. శుక్రవారం మీడియాతో నిర్వహించిన చిట్‌చాట్‌లో తలసాని శ్రీనివాస్ యాదవ్ ఈ వ్యాఖ్యలు చేశారు.
సిరిసిల్లలో బలప్రదర్శన ఎందుకు?
ముఖ్యమంత్రి హోదాలో రేవంత్ రెడ్డి తెలంగాణలో ఎక్కడైనా పర్యటించవచ్చని తలసాని శ్రీనివాస్ యాదవ్ అన్నారు. అయితే సిరిసిల్లలో ప్రత్యేకంగా బలప్రదర్శన చేయాల్సిన అవసరం ఏముందని ప్రశ్నించారు. “సిరిసిల్ల ఏమైనా పక్క రాష్ట్రంలో ఉందా?” అంటూ వ్యాఖ్యానించారు.
సిరిసిల్లలో జరిగిన సీఎం రేవంత్ రెడ్డి సభతో ఆయనకు రాజకీయంగా వచ్చిన మైలేజ్ కంటే నష్టమే ఎక్కువ జరిగిందని తలసాని అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. మరోవైపు కాంగ్రెస్ నేతలు మాత్రం సిరిసిల్ల సభకు మంచి స్పందన లభించిందని చెబుతున్నారు.
సిద్దిపేట తర్వాత కొడంగల్‌లో బీఆర్‌ఎస్ సభ
ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి సిద్దిపేటలో కూడా సభ నిర్వహించనున్నట్లు చెబుతున్న నేపథ్యంలో, ఆ సభ తర్వాత కొడంగల్‌లో బీఆర్‌ఎస్ సభ నిర్వహిస్తామని తలసాని స్పష్టం చేశారు.
కొడంగల్ ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి ప్రాతినిధ్యం వహిస్తున్న నియోజకవర్గం కావడంతో ఈ సభకు రాజకీయ ప్రాధాన్యత ఏర్పడింది. సిరిసిల్లలో కాంగ్రెస్ సభకు బీఆర్‌ఎస్ కౌంటర్‌గా కొడంగల్ సభ నిర్వహించనున్నట్లు తలసాని చేసిన ప్రకటన తెలంగాణ రాజకీయాల్లో చర్చనీయాంశంగా మారింది
అయితే కొడంగల్ బీఆర్‌ఎస్ సభకు సంబంధించిన తేదీ, వేదిక, అనుమతులు, పాల్గొనే నేతలు వంటి పూర్తి వివరాలను పార్టీ అధికారికంగా ప్రకటించాల్సి ఉంది.
ఖైరతాబాద్ ఉపఎన్నికపై తలసాని కీలక వ్యాఖ్యలు
ఇదే సమయంలో ఖైరతాబాద్ ఉపఎన్నికపై కూడా తలసాని శ్రీనివాస్ యాదవ్ స్పందించారు. ఖైరతాబాద్ బైపోల్‌లో బీఆర్‌ఎస్ గెలుస్తుందని ఆయన ధీమా వ్యక్తం చేశారు.
పార్టీ మారిన నేపథ్యంలో దానం నాగేందర్‌పై ఖైరతాబాద్ ఓటర్లలో అసంతృప్తి ఉందని తలసాని వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. గతంలో ఓటు హక్కు వినియోగించుకోని కొంతమంది ఓటర్లు కూడా ఈ ఉపఎన్నికలో ఉత్సాహంగా పోలింగ్‌లో పాల్గొంటారని ఆయన అన్నారు.
డబ్బులు పంపిణీ చేసినా ఈసారి ఓటర్లు కాంగ్రెస్‌కు ఓటు వేయరని కూడా తలసాని వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. ఇవి ఆయన చేసిన రాజకీయ వ్యాఖ్యలు మాత్రమే; ఉపఎన్నిక ఫలితంపై ముందస్తు నిర్ధారణగా చూడాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు. ఇదే అంశంపై కాంగ్రెస్ నేతలు భిన్నమైన అభిప్రాయాలు వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు. మంత్రి కోమటిరెడ్డి వెంకట్ రెడ్డి ఖైరతాబాద్ ఉపఎన్నికలో కాంగ్రెస్ గెలుస్తుందని పేర్కొన్నారు.
జూబ్లీహిల్స్, కంటోన్మెంట్ పరిస్థితులు వేరు
జూబ్లీహిల్స్, కంటోన్మెంట్ ఉపఎన్నికల పరిస్థితి ఖైరతాబాద్‌కు భిన్నంగా ఉంటుందని తలసాని శ్రీనివాస్ యాదవ్ అన్నారు. ఖైరతాబాద్‌లో రాజకీయ పరిస్థితులు బీఆర్‌ఎస్‌కు అనుకూలంగా ఉన్నాయని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు.
బీఆర్‌ఎస్ ఎమ్మెల్యేల సస్పెన్షన్‌పైనా స్పందన
ఇటీవల అసెంబ్లీ నుంచి బీఆర్‌ఎస్ ఎమ్మెల్యేల సస్పెన్షన్ అంశంపైనా తలసాని స్పందించారు. “అసెంబ్లీ నుంచి సస్పెండ్ చేసేంత సీన్ మేము ఏం చేశాం?” అని ప్రశ్నించారు.
బయట జరిగిన గొడవకు స్పీకర్‌కు సంబంధం ఏమిటని ఆయన ప్రశ్నించారు. ప్రజా సమస్యలపై ప్రభుత్వాన్ని ప్రశ్నిస్తున్నందుకే బీఆర్‌ఎస్ ఎమ్మెల్యేలపై చర్యలు తీసుకున్నారంటూ బీఆర్‌ఎస్ నేతలు ఆరోపిస్తున్న విషయం తెలిసిందే. గతంలోనూ తలసాని బీఆర్‌ఎస్ ఎమ్మెల్యేల సస్పెన్షన్‌పై అసెంబ్లీ వెలుపల తీవ్రంగా స్పందించారు.

BRS Kodangal Meeting Talasani Srinivas Yadav Targets Revanth Reddy, Announces Counter Rally
Hyderabad, October 2, 2026: Telangana politics is witnessing a fresh round of confrontation between the ruling Congress and the opposition Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), with former minister and BRS leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav announcing that the party will soon organise a major public meeting in Kodangal, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s Assembly constituency.
Speaking to the media during an informal interaction on Friday, Talasani Srinivas Yadav said the proposed BRS Kodangal meeting would be held after Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s proposed meeting in Siddipet. He described the proposed BRS meeting as a political counter to the Chief Minister’s recent programme in Sircilla.
BRS Kodangal Meeting to Counter Revanth Reddy’s Sircilla Campaign
Talasani Srinivas Yadav said Revanth Reddy, as Chief Minister, has the right to visit any part of Telangana, but questioned the need for a show of political strength in Sircilla.
“Sircilla is not in another state,” he remarked, questioning the political significance of holding a major programme there.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy participated in a padayatra and addressed a public meeting in Sircilla on September 30 as part of the Praja Palana–Pragathi Bata programme. The Telangana government said the programme included development and welfare-related initiatives.
Talasani, however, claimed that the Sircilla meeting gave Revanth Reddy more political damage than mileage. This is his political assessment, while Congress leaders have presented the Sircilla programme as a successful public and development-oriented event.
‘BRS Will Hold Meeting in Kodangal’
The announcement of the BRS Kodangal meeting has added another dimension to the ongoing Congress-BRS political confrontation.
According to Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Revanth Reddy has indicated that he would also hold a meeting in Siddipet. The BRS Kodangal meeting, he said, would be organised after the Siddipet programme.
Talasani further said the BRS meeting in Kodangal would put political pressure on the Chief Minister, using strong language to say that the meeting would make Revanth Reddy “sweat.”
The exact date, venue and detailed arrangements for the BRS Kodangal meeting have not yet been officially announced by the BRS, according to reports.
Talasani Makes Big Claim on Khairatabad Bypoll
The former minister also spoke about the upcoming Khairatabad Assembly by-election, claiming that the BRS would win the seat.
Talasani said voters in Khairatabad were unhappy with Danam Nagender after his political shift and claimed that voters who had previously not exercised their franchise would also turn out to vote in the by-election.
He further alleged that financial inducements would not change the voting behaviour of the electorate.
However, the Election Commission has not yet issued the Khairatabad by-election notification. On October 2, reports said the ECI informed the Telangana High Court that it would wait for the resolution of a pending election petition before issuing the notification.
Therefore, Talasani’s statement that BRS will win the Khairatabad bypoll should be treated as a party leader’s political claim rather than an established election outcome.
BRS Steps Up Khairatabad Preparations
The BRS has already started organisational preparations for the Khairatabad by-election and upcoming Graduate MLC elections.
Recent reports indicate that the party has been focusing on voter enrolment, organisational mobilisation and assessing its ground strength in Khairatabad ahead of the formal election schedule.
Talasani had also recently asked BRS workers to focus on voter registration and undertake a door-to-door campaign in the Sanath Nagar area.
‘Why Were BRS MLAs Suspended?’
Talasani Srinivas Yadav also questioned the suspension of BRS legislators from the Telangana Legislative Assembly.
He asked why the BRS MLAs were suspended and questioned the connection between an incident outside the Assembly and the Speaker’s decision.
The issue of suspended BRS legislators has been another point of confrontation between the ruling Congress and the opposition BRS. BRS leaders have repeatedly criticised the action, while the government and Assembly authorities have their own position on the proceedings.
Earlier, suspended BRS legislators even conducted a mock Assembly session at Telangana Bhavan, with Talasani Srinivas Yadav taking the role of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy during the programme.
Sircilla vs Kodangal: Political Battle Intensifies
The proposed BRS Kodangal meeting comes at a time when political exchanges between Congress and BRS are intensifying across Telangana.
Revanth Reddy’s Sircilla programme, the proposed Siddipet meeting and the BRS’s planned Kodangal meeting have created a sequence of politically significant programmes involving constituencies associated with senior leaders of both parties.
The Sircilla meeting was held in the constituency represented by BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, while Kodangal is represented by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
The proposed BRS Kodangal meeting could therefore become an important platform for the opposition party to respond to the Chief Minister’s recent political programmes. The scale and political significance of the meeting will become clearer once the BRS announces its date, venue and participating leaders.
