RCB Hold the Edge in IPL Final,
The IPL 2026 Final is set to begin shortly in Ahmedabad, where two of the tournament’s most consistent teams, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans, will battle for the championship. Both teams have previously won one IPL title each, making the contest even more exciting as they aim to secure their second trophy.
Former Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin shared his views on the final and backed RCB as the favorites.
“RCB have shown remarkable consistency throughout this season. Their balance in both batting and bowling, along with players stepping up in crucial moments, has made them a special side. The confidence they displayed during the playoffs has been particularly impressive. They have already defeated Gujarat in the playoffs. In my opinion, the final is in RCB’s hands. The team looks ready to win another title,” Ashwin said.
However, Ashwin also acknowledged the threat posed by Gujarat Titans.
“We can expect a strong challenge from Gujarat Titans as well. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan are in excellent form. The team that handles pressure better in the final will likely emerge victorious. Playing at their home ground is an advantage for Gujarat because they are more familiar with the conditions. Nevertheless, if RCB perform in the final the way they have throughout the season, the title should belong to them,” he added.
The highly anticipated clash is expected to be a thrilling contest between two well-balanced teams, with the IPL 2026 trophy at stake.
