వేసవి ఎండలు తీవ్రంగా మండిపోతుండటంతో తెలంగాణలో బీరు అమ్మకాలు (Beer Sales) భారీగా పెరిగాయి. ముఖ్యంగా కరీంనగర్ జిల్లాలో బీరు డిమాండ్ రికార్డు స్థాయికి చేరుకుంది. ఎండల తీవ్రత (Summer Heat) కారణంగా బ్రాందీ, విస్కీ, వోడ్కా, రమ్, జిన్ వంటి హార్డ్ లిక్కర్ను సేవించే మందుబాబులు ఇప్పుడు బీరు వైపు మొగ్గు చూపుతున్నారు. వేసవి తాపాన్ని తగ్గించుకోవడానికి చల్లని బీరు సేవించేందుకు ఆసక్తి పెరగడంతో వైన్ షాపులు, బార్లలో బీరు అమ్మకాలు (Telangana Beer Sales) ఒక్కసారిగా ఊపందుకున్నాయి.
కరీంనగర్ మద్యం డిపో నుంచి కరీంనగర్, జగిత్యాల, పెద్దపల్లి జిల్లాలకు మద్యం సరఫరా జరుగుతోంది. ఈ డిపో పరిధిలో మొత్తం 192 వైన్ షాపులు, 58 బార్లకు బీరు మరియు ఇతర మద్యం సరఫరా అవుతోంది. అయితే ప్రస్తుతం ఎక్కువ డిమాండ్ మాత్రం బీరు అమ్మకాలపైనే కనిపిస్తోంది.
కరీంనగర్ ఐఎంఎల్ (IML) డిపో గణాంకాల ప్రకారం, 2026 మార్చి 1 నుంచి ఏప్రిల్ 26 వరకు కేవలం 57 రోజుల్లోనే 5,82,165 పెట్టెల బీరు అమ్ముడయ్యాయి. ఇందులో మార్చి నెలలో 3,30,270 పెట్టెల బీరు అమ్మకాలు నమోదు కాగా, ఏప్రిల్ 26 వరకు మరో 2,51,895 పెట్టెల బీరు విక్రయమయ్యాయి.
ఈ భారీ బీరు అమ్మకాల (Beer Demand in Summer) ద్వారా డిపో స్థాయిలోనే రూ.118.56 కోట్ల వ్యాపారం జరిగినట్లు అధికారులు వెల్లడించారు. ఇది కేవలం రిటైల్ షాపులు డిపో నుంచి కొనుగోలు చేసిన విలువ మాత్రమే. అనంతరం వైన్ షాపులు, బార్లలో మరో 20 శాతం మార్జిన్తో వినియోగదారులకు విక్రయాలు జరుగుతున్నాయి.
తెలంగాణలో పెరుగుతున్న ఉష్ణోగ్రతలు, మండుతున్న ఎండలు కారణంగా బీరు డిమాండ్ మరింత పెరిగే అవకాశం ఉందని వ్యాపార వర్గాలు అంచనా వేస్తున్నాయి. ముఖ్యంగా వేసవి సీజన్లో బీరు అమ్మకాలు (Karimnagar Beer Sales) ప్రతి ఏడాది పెరుగుతున్నాయని మద్యం వ్యాపారులు చెబుతున్నారు.

Telangana Summer Heat Triggers Massive Surge in Karimnagar Beer Sales
The intense summer heat sweeping across Telangana has led to a massive increase in beer sales, especially in Karimnagar, Jagityal, and Peddapalli districts. As temperatures continue to rise sharply, liquor consumers who usually prefer hard drinks like whisky, brandy, vodka, rum, and gin are now increasingly switching to chilled beer to beat the scorching heat. The ongoing heatwave conditions have significantly boosted beer demand and summer liquor sales across the region.
According to officials, the Karimnagar IML (Indian Made Liquor) Depot supplies beer and liquor to a wide network of wine shops and bars across the three districts. The depot currently caters to 192 wine shops and 58 bars, making it one of the major liquor supply hubs in North Telangana. With beer becoming the preferred summer beverage among alcohol consumers, beer sales in Telangana have recorded a sharp rise over the past two months.
Official sales data from the Karimnagar liquor depot shows that between March 1 and April 26, 2026, a total of 5,82,165 beer cases were sold within just 57 days. In March alone, beer sales touched 3,30,270 cases, while another 2,51,895 beer cases were sold by April 26. The figures clearly indicate the growing popularity of beer during the peak summer season and the increasing demand for chilled alcoholic beverages.
The total wholesale value of the beer sold during this period has reportedly reached Rs.118.56 crore. Officials clarified that this amount represents only the value at which retail wine shops purchased beer from the depot. After adding retail margins of nearly 20 percent, the final sales value in wine shops and bars is expected to be much higher, generating huge revenue for the liquor business.
Liquor traders and wine shop owners say beer demand increases every summer, but this year’s sales are particularly high due to the severe heatwave conditions across Telangana. Many consumers are avoiding strong liquor during daytime hours and opting for beer instead, considering it comparatively lighter and more refreshing in hot weather.
Industry experts believe that if temperatures continue to remain high in May, Telangana beer sales could break previous records. Wine shop operators are also increasing beer stock to meet the growing consumer demand. With the summer season at its peak, beer consumption, liquor sales, and beer demand are expected to remain strong across Karimnagar and nearby districts in the coming weeks.
