చెన్నై: తమిళనాడు రాజకీయాలు వేడెక్కుతున్న వేళ M. K. Stalin మరోసారి బీజేపీ–ఏఐఏడీఎంకే కూటమిపై తీవ్ర విమర్శలు చేశారు. తేని జిల్లా ఆండిపట్టిలో జరిగిన ఎన్నికల ప్రచార సభలో మాట్లాడిన స్టాలిన్, రాబోయే తమిళనాడు ఎన్నికలు, ఆండిపట్టి ఎన్నికల ప్రచారం, DMK vs AIADMK పోరులో ప్రజలు కీలక నిర్ణయం తీసుకోవాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
స్టాలిన్ మాట్లాడుతూ, గత ఐదేళ్లుగా కేంద్రంలోని Bharatiya Janata Party ప్రభుత్వం తమిళనాడు అభివృద్ధిని అడ్డుకుందని ఆరోపించారు. ముఖ్యంగా తమిళనాడు అభివృద్ధి నిధులు, మెట్రో రైలు ప్రాజెక్టులు తమిళనాడు, జల జీవన్ మిషన్ నిధులు వంటి కీలక అంశాల్లో రాష్ట్రానికి అన్యాయం జరిగిందన్నారు. మదురై, తిరుచ్చి, కోయంబత్తూరు నగరాల్లో మెట్రో రైలు ప్రాజెక్టులకు అనుమతులు ఇవ్వకపోవడం, చెన్నై రెండో విడత మెట్రో ప్రాజెక్టుకు నిధులు నిలిపివేయడం వంటి చర్యలు రాష్ట్రానికి నష్టం కలిగించాయని విమర్శించారు.

Stalin Andipatti Rally Strong Call to Defeat BJP–AIADMK Alliance in Tamil Nadu Elections 2026
Chennai: In a major political development ahead of the Tamil Nadu elections 2026, M. K. Stalin delivered a fiery speech at the Andipatti rally, intensifying the DMK vs AIADMK political battle. Addressing a large gathering in Theni district, Stalin urged voters to decisively defeat the BJP–AIADMK alliance, accusing them of neglecting Tamil Nadu development and compromising state rights.
During the high-profile DMK campaign rally, Stalin alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party-led central government has systematically denied Tamil Nadu development funds over the past five years. He emphasized that several crucial infrastructure and welfare projects were either delayed or blocked, which directly impacted economic growth and public welfare across the state.
Highlighting key issues, Stalin pointed out that approvals for major metro rail projects in Tamil Nadu—including those in Madurai, Trichy, and Coimbatore—were withheld. He also claimed that funding for Chennai Metro Phase 2 was stalled, affecting urban transport expansion. In addition, the Centre allegedly denied permission for the Hosur airport project, which could have boosted regional connectivity and economic opportunities.
The Chief Minister further criticized the Centre for not releasing adequate funds under the Jal Jeevan Mission Tamil Nadu, stating that despite the state’s proactive implementation, financial support was insufficient. According to Stalin, these decisions reflect a pattern of discrimination against Tamil Nadu, making state rights in Tamil Nadu a central issue in the ongoing election campaign.
Taking a direct swipe at Edappadi K. Palaniswami, Stalin accused the AIADMK leadership of acting in favor of the BJP rather than protecting the interests of the state. He said the AIADMK BJP alliance has weakened Tamil Nadu’s position at the national level. Stalin also criticized Palaniswami for focusing on personal attacks instead of presenting governance achievements, reinforcing the narrative of DMK vs AIADMK rivalry.
Stalin did not spare T. T. V. Dhinakaran either. He questioned Dhinakaran’s political credibility, pointing out the contradictions in his alliances. Stalin recalled past controversies and alleged misconduct, stating that such leaders cannot be trusted in shaping the future of Tamil Nadu politics.
Emphasizing Tamil identity, Tamil language, and Tamil Nadu pride, Stalin accused the BJP of aligning with forces that are insensitive to regional aspirations. He said the BJP AIADMK alliance represents a threat to the cultural and political autonomy of the state. He urged voters to safeguard Tamil Nadu development by rejecting this alliance in the upcoming elections.
The Andipatti election campaign also saw Stalin extending strong support to DMK and alliance candidates across key constituencies, including Bodinayakanur, Cumbum, Andipatti, and Periyakulam.
