లాలూ ప్రసాద్ యాదవ్కు సుప్రీంకోర్టులో షాక్.. భూములకే ఉద్యోగాలు కేసులో పిటిషన్ తిరస్కరణ
భూములకు బదులుగా ఉద్యోగాలు ఇచ్చారనే కీలక అవినీతి కేసులో ఆర్జేడీ చీఫ్ Lalu Prasad Yadavకు సుప్రీంకోర్టులో పెద్ద షాక్ తగిలింది. తనపై, తన కుటుంబ సభ్యులపై సీబీఐ నమోదు చేసిన ఎఫ్ఐఆర్ను రద్దు చేయాలంటూ వేసిన పిటిషన్ను Supreme Court of India సోమవారం తిరస్కరించింది. ఈ తీర్పుతో “లాలూ ప్రసాద్ యాదవ్ కేసు”, “సుప్రీంకోర్టు తీర్పు”, “సీబీఐ కేసు”, “భూములకే ఉద్యోగాలు కేసు” వంటి కీలక అంశాలు మళ్లీ హాట్ టాపిక్గా మారాయి.
జస్టిస్ ఎం.ఎం. సుందరేశ్, జస్టిస్ ఎన్. కోటేశ్వర సింగ్ల ధర్మాసనం ఈ కేసులో మెరిట్స్పై నిర్ణయం తీసుకునే బాధ్యతను ట్రయల్ కోర్టుకే వదిలింది. చట్ట ప్రకారం విచారణ కొనసాగించవచ్చని స్పష్టం చేసింది. అయితే లాలూ ప్రసాద్ యాదవ్కు వ్యక్తిగత హాజరు నుంచి మినహాయింపు ఇవ్వడం గమనార్హం. దీంతో “లాలూ కేసు విచారణ”, “సీబీఐ విచారణ” అనే కీలక అంశాలు మరింత ప్రాధాన్యం సంతరించుకున్నాయి.
ఇంతకుముందు కూడా లాలూ ప్రసాద్ యాదవ్కు హైకోర్టులో ఎదురుదెబ్బ తగిలింది. సీబీఐ నమోదు చేసిన ఎఫ్ఐఆర్ను రద్దు చేయాలని చేసిన అభ్యర్థనను హైకోర్టు తిరస్కరించింది. పిటిషన్లో మెరిట్ లేదని పేర్కొంది. ఆ నిర్ణయాన్ని సవాలు చేస్తూ సుప్రీంకోర్టును ఆశ్రయించిన లాలూ ప్రసాద్ యాదవ్కు ఇప్పుడు మరోసారి నిరాశ ఎదురైంది. “లాలూ ప్రసాద్ యాదవ్ సుప్రీంకోర్టు తీర్పు” అనే అంశం ప్రస్తుతం ట్రెండింగ్గా మారింది.
ఈ “భూములకే ఉద్యోగాలు కేసు” 2004-2009 మధ్య కాలానికి సంబంధించినది. ఆ సమయంలో కేంద్ర రైల్వే మంత్రిగా ఉన్న లాలూ ప్రసాద్ యాదవ్ రైల్వేలో గ్రూప్-డి పోస్టుల నియామకాలలో అవినీతి జరిగినట్లు సీబీఐ ఆరోపిస్తోంది. ఉద్యోగాల బదులుగా అభ్యర్థుల భూములను లాలూ కుటుంబ సభ్యులు మరియు ఒక ప్రైవేట్ కంపెనీకి బదిలీ చేసినట్లు ఆరోపణలు ఉన్నాయి. 2022 మే 18న ఈ కేసులో లాలూ ప్రసాద్ యాదవ్, ఆయన భార్య, కుమార్తెలు మరియు ఇతరులపై కేసు నమోదు అయింది. ప్రస్తుతం అందరూ బెయిలుపై ఉన్నారు.
ఈ కేసులో సీబీఐ ముందస్తు అనుమతి తీసుకోలేదని, ప్రజాప్రాతినిధ్య చట్టంలోని సెక్షన్ 17ఏ ఉల్లంఘన జరిగిందని లాలూ వాదించినప్పటికీ, సుప్రీంకోర్టు ఆ వాదనను తిరస్కరించింది. దీంతో “సీబీఐ కేసు”, “లాలూ ప్రసాద్ యాదవ్ కేసు”, “సుప్రీంకోర్టు తీర్పు” వంటి కీవర్డ్స్ మరింత ప్రాధాన్యం పొందుతున్నాయి.

Lalu Prasad Yadav Faces Setback as Supreme Court Rejects Plea in Land for Jobs Case
RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav faced a major setback in the land for jobs case as the Supreme Court of India rejected his plea to quash the CBI FIR. The Supreme Court verdict in the Lalu Prasad Yadav case has once again brought the land for jobs scam and CBI case against Lalu Yadav into national focus.
A bench of Justices M.M. Sundresh and N. Kotiswar Singh dismissed Lalu Prasad Yadav’s petition, stating that the merits of the land for jobs case will be examined by the trial court. The Supreme Court allowed the CBI investigation and trial to continue as per law. However, Lalu Prasad Yadav was granted exemption from personal appearance during trial proceedings, which is a key development in the Lalu Yadav Supreme Court case.
Earlier, the High Court had also dismissed Lalu Prasad Yadav’s plea to quash the FIR, observing that there was no merit in the petition. Challenging that order, Lalu moved the Supreme Court, but the latest Supreme Court verdict has upheld the continuation of the CBI case.
The land for jobs case dates back to 2004–2009, when Lalu Prasad Yadav served as Railway Minister. According to the CBI, appointments to Group-D railway posts were allegedly made in exchange for land parcels transferred to Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family members and a private company. This alleged railway jobs scam is now a major part of the ongoing CBI investigation in India.
On May 18, 2022, the CBI registered a case against Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife, two daughters, unidentified public officials, and private individuals. Currently, all accused, including Lalu Yadav, are on bail in the land for jobs scam case.
Lalu Prasad Yadav argued that there were legal flaws in the FIR, investigation, and charge sheets filed by the CBI. He claimed that prior sanction under Section 17A of the Prevention of Corruption Act was not obtained, making the CBI proceedings invalid. However, the Supreme Court rejected this argument, strengthening the legal standing of the CBI case against Lalu Yadav.
With this Supreme Court verdict, the Lalu Prasad Yadav land for jobs case is set to proceed in the trial court, increasing legal challenges for the RJD leader and keeping the land for jobs scam and Lalu Yadav news in the headlines.
