హైదరాబాద్, సెప్టెంబర్ 23: హైదరాబాద్‌లోని కొత్తపేట సెంటర్‌లో తెలంగాణ జాతిపిత ఆచార్య కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీకి 33 అడుగుల భారీ కాంస్య విగ్రహాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేయనున్నారు. ఎల్బీనగర్ పద్మశాలి వెల్ఫేర్ ట్రస్ట్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో నిర్మిస్తున్న ఈ విగ్రహ ప్రారంభోత్సవ కార్యక్రమానికి ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఎ. రేవంత్‌రెడ్డిని పద్మశాలి సామాజిక ప్రముఖులు ఆహ్వానించారు. బుధవారం సచివాలయంలో ముఖ్యమంత్రిని కలిసి ఆహ్వాన కరపత్రాన్ని అందజేశారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా సీఎం రేవంత్‌రెడ్డి ఆహ్వాన కరపత్రాన్ని ఆవిష్కరించారు.

నవంబర్‌లో కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీ విగ్రహావిష్కరణ

కొత్తపేటలో ఏర్పాటు చేయనున్న 33 అడుగుల కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీ విగ్రహం ప్రారంభోత్సవాన్ని నవంబర్‌లో నిర్వహించాలని సీఎం రేవంత్‌రెడ్డి సూచించినట్లు పద్మశాలి నాయకులు తెలిపారు. కార్యక్రమానికి అనుకూలమైన తేదీలను పరిశీలించి ఖరారు చేసేందుకు ముఖ్యమంత్రి సానుకూలంగా స్పందించినట్లు చెప్పారు.

విగ్రహావిష్కరణ సందర్భంగా కొత్తపేటలో వేలాది మందితో భారీ బహిరంగ సభ నిర్వహించేందుకు ఏర్పాట్లు చేస్తున్నట్లు ఎల్బీనగర్ పద్మశాలి వెల్ఫేర్ ట్రస్ట్ చైర్మన్ పున్న గణేష్ నేత తెలిపారు.

పద్మశాలీల ఐక్యతతో మరిన్ని అభివృద్ధి ఫలితాలు

పద్మశాలి సమాజం ఐక్యంగా ముందుకు సాగితే సామాజికంగా, ఆర్థికంగా మరిన్ని సత్ఫలితాలు సాధించవచ్చని సీఎం రేవంత్‌రెడ్డి పేర్కొన్నట్లు నాయకులు తెలిపారు. కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీ సేవలను, తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమంలో ఆయన పోషించిన కీలక పాత్రను స్మరించుకుంటూ కొత్తపేటలో 33 అడుగుల బాపూజీ విగ్రహాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేస్తున్నట్లు వారు వివరించారు.

అప్పటి ప్రధానమంత్రి ఇందిరాగాంధీ కొండా లక్ష్మణ్‌ను ‘బాపూజీ’గా సంబోధించారని, ప్రస్తుత సీఎం రేవంత్‌రెడ్డి ఆయనను ‘తెలంగాణ జాతిపిత’గా పేర్కొనడం పద్మశాలి సమాజానికి గౌరవంగా భావిస్తున్నామని పున్న గణేష్ నేత తెలిపారు.

చేనేత సమస్యలపై సీఎం రేవంత్‌రెడ్డికి వినతిపత్రం

సీఎంతో జరిగిన సమావేశంలో చేనేత రంగ సమస్యలు, చేనేత కార్మికుల ఇబ్బందులు, చేనేత సహకార సంఘాల ఆర్థిక పరిస్థితిపై పద్మశాలి ప్రతినిధులు విస్తృతంగా చర్చించారు.

అఖిల భారత పద్మశాలి సంఘం, తెలంగాణ ప్రాంత పద్మశాలి సంఘాల ఆధ్వర్యంలో రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా చేనేత కార్మికులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్న సమస్యలపై ముఖ్యమంత్రికి వినతిపత్రం సమర్పించారు. చేనేత సహకార రంగాన్ని బలోపేతం చేయాలని, పెండింగ్ నిధులను విడుదల చేసి చేనేత కార్మికులను ఆదుకోవాలని కోరారు.

వినతిపత్రంపై సీఎం రేవంత్‌రెడ్డి సానుకూలంగా స్పందించి, సంబంధిత అధికారులతో చర్చించి సమస్యల పరిష్కారానికి చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామని హామీ ఇచ్చినట్లు నాయకులు తెలిపారు.

చేనేత కార్మికుల ప్రధాన డిమాండ్లు ఇవే

చేనేత రంగానికి సంబంధించిన పలు కీలక సమస్యలను నాయకులు సీఎం దృష్టికి తీసుకెళ్లారు. వాటిలో:

• 15 నెలలుగా పెండింగ్‌లో ఉన్న తిఫ్ట్ ఫండ్ ప్రభుత్వ వాటా నిధుల విడుదల
• చేనేత పెన్షన్ కోసం దరఖాస్తు చేసుకున్న 18,005 మంది కార్మికులకు పెన్షన్ మంజూరు
• చేనేత సహకార సంఘాల క్యాష్ క్రెడిట్ బకాయిల మాఫీ
• పెండింగ్‌లో ఉన్న నేతన్న భరోసా నిధుల విడుదల
• చేనేత కార్మికుల పెండింగ్ బీమా మొత్తాల చెల్లింపు
• సహకార సంఘాల్లో నిల్వ ఉన్న చేనేత వస్త్రాలను ప్రభుత్వం కొనుగోలు చేయడం
• చేనేత కార్మికులకు బ్యాంకుల ద్వారా వ్యక్తిగత రుణాల మంజూరు
• పెండింగ్‌లో ఉన్న జియో ట్యాగ్‌ల మంజూరు
• 50 సంవత్సరాలు పైబడిన జియో ట్యాగ్ కలిగిన ప్రతి చేనేత కార్మికుడికి పెన్షన్
• అర్హులైన ప్రతి చేనేత కార్మికుడికి గుర్తింపు కార్డుల జారీ
• ముద్రా రుణాల సబ్సిడీని 50 శాతానికి పెంచడం
• కొత్తగా ఎన్నికైన చేనేత సహకార సంఘాలకు క్యాష్ క్రెడిట్ మంజూరు
• గతంలో అమలు చేసిన 20 శాతం రిబేట్ పథకం పునరుద్ధరణ
• టెస్కో చెల్లించాల్సిన పెండింగ్ బిల్లుల విడుదల

అదేవిధంగా నూలు, రంగులు, రసాయనాలు, చేనేత వస్త్రాలపై జీఎస్టీ తొలగించాలని, గ్రామపంచాయతీలు, మున్సిపాలిటీలు, గ్రేటర్ కార్పొరేషన్లలో నిర్వహించే గ్రామసభల్లో చేనేత సహకార సంఘాల అధ్యక్షులకు ప్రాతినిధ్యం కల్పించాలని కోరారు.

చేనేత రంగ పునరుజ్జీవనంపై దృష్టి అవసరం: గుజ్జ సత్యం

ఈ సందర్భంగా జాతీయ బీసీ సంక్షేమ సంఘం జాతీయ ఉపాధ్యక్షులు గుజ్జ సత్యం మాట్లాడుతూ కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీ 33 అడుగుల భారీ కాంస్య విగ్రహాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేయడం ఆయన చరిత్రను భవిష్యత్ తరాలకు పరిచయం చేసే గొప్ప ప్రయత్నమని అన్నారు.

అయితే విగ్రహ నిర్మాణంతో బాధ్యత ముగియదని, బాపూజీ ఆశయాలను ఆచరణలోకి తీసుకురావడం, చేనేత కార్మికుల జీవన ప్రమాణాలను మెరుగుపరచడం, చేనేత సహకార వ్యవస్థను బలోపేతం చేయడం కూడా సమాజం, ప్రభుత్వానికి ముఖ్యమైన బాధ్యతలని గుజ్జ సత్యం పేర్కొన్నారు.

చేనేత రంగంలో పెండింగ్ నిధులు, సహకార సంఘాల ఆర్థిక ఇబ్బందులు, పెన్షన్లు, బీమా, నేతన్న భరోసా, మార్కెటింగ్ వంటి సమస్యలు పరిష్కారమైతే చేనేత కుటుంబాలకు ప్రత్యక్ష ప్రయోజనం కలుగుతుందని అన్నారు.

కొత్తపేటలో జరిగే కొండా లక్ష్మణ్ బాపూజీ విగ్రహావిష్కరణను కేవలం ఒక కార్యక్రమంగా కాకుండా చేనేత రంగం, పద్మశాలి సామాజిక చైతన్యం, బాపూజీ ఆశయాలపై విస్తృత చర్చకు వేదికగా నిర్వహించాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని గుజ్జ సత్యం అన్నారు.

సీఎం రేవంత్‌రెడ్డికి చేనేత మగ్గంపై ప్రత్యేక చిత్రపటం

సమావేశం సందర్భంగా సీఎం రేవంత్‌రెడ్డికి సిరిసిల్లలో చేనేత మగ్గంపై ప్రత్యేకంగా రూపొందించిన ఆయన చిత్రపటాన్ని పద్మశాలి ప్రముఖులు బహూకరించారు. చేనేత కళాకారుల నైపుణ్యం, చేనేత కళకు ప్రతీకగా ఈ చిత్రపటాన్ని రూపొందించినట్లు నాయకులు తెలిపారు.

Hyderabad, September 23: Padmashali community leaders have invited Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to inaugurate a 33-foot bronze statue of Acharya Konda Laxman Bapuji proposed at Kothapet Centre in Hyderabad.

The Konda Laxman Bapuji statue is being established under the aegis of the LB Nagar Padmashali Welfare Trust. A delegation of Padmashali representatives met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at the Secretariat on Wednesday and formally handed over the invitation pamphlet for the Konda Laxman Bapuji statue inauguration.

The Chief Minister also unveiled the invitation pamphlet during the meeting.

Konda Laxman Bapuji Statue Inauguration to Be Held in November

According to Padmashali leaders, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy suggested that the 33-foot Konda Laxman Bapuji statue inauguration be organised in November. The Chief Minister reportedly responded positively to finalising a suitable date for the inauguration.

The LB Nagar Padmashali Welfare Trust is also planning a mass public meeting at Kothapet with the participation of thousands of people as part of the Konda Laxman Bapuji statue inauguration programme, said Trust Chairman Punna Ganesh Neth.

The 33-foot bronze statue is being planned as a tribute to the contribution of Acharya Konda Laxman Bapuji, his public life and his role in the Telangana movement.

CM Revanth Reddy Highlights Padmashali Unity

Padmashali leaders said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasised the importance of unity within the Padmashali community.

According to the leaders, the Chief Minister stated that collective efforts by the Padmashali community could help achieve further social and economic progress.

The leaders explained that the Konda Laxman Bapuji statue was being established to commemorate his services and his contribution to Telangana.

Punna Ganesh Neth said the reference to Konda Laxman as “Bapuji” by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and the present reference to him as “Telangana Jatipita” by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy were regarded as significant by the Padmashali community.

Handloom Sector Issues Raised Before CM Revanth Reddy

During the meeting, representatives of the All India Padmashali Association and Telangana Regional Padmashali Association submitted a detailed memorandum to CM Revanth Reddy on the problems faced by handloom workers and handloom cooperative societies across Telangana.

The delegation urged the Telangana government to strengthen the handloom cooperative sector and release pending funds to support Telangana handloom workers.

Padmashali leaders said the Chief Minister responded positively to their representation and assured them that the issues would be discussed with the concerned officials and appropriate steps would be taken.

Key Demands of Telangana Handloom Workers

The memorandum reportedly highlighted several major demands concerning handloom workers, handloom cooperatives and the Telangana handloom sector.

The delegation sought the release of the government share of Thrift Fund contributions pending for nearly 15 months.

It also requested pension sanction for 18,005 handloom workers who have already applied for handloom pensions.

Other major demands included:

• Waiver of pending Cash Credit dues of handloom cooperative societies
• Release of pending Nethanna Bharosa funds
• Payment of pending insurance amounts to handloom workers
• Government purchase of handloom products lying in cooperative societies
• Bank-based personal loans for eligible handloom workers
• Approval of pending Geo Tags
• Pension for every Geo Tag-enabled handloom worker above 50 years of age
• Identity cards for all eligible handloom workers
• Increasing the subsidy on Mudra loans to 50 per cent
• Cash Credit facilities for newly elected handloom cooperative societies
• Restoration of the earlier 20 per cent rebate scheme
• Release of pending TEXCO/TESCO-related bills

The delegation also requested the government to consider removing GST on yarn, dyes, chemicals and handloom products.

Another demand was to provide representation to presidents of handloom cooperative societies in Gram Sabhas conducted by Gram Panchayats, municipalities and Greater Hyderabad municipal bodies.

Focus Needed on Revival of Handloom Sector: Gujja Sathyam

Speaking to the media, Gujja Sathyam, National Vice President of the National BC Welfare Association, said establishing a 33-foot bronze statue of Konda Laxman Bapuji at Kothapet would help introduce his history and contribution to future generations.

However, he said the significance of the Konda Laxman Bapuji statue should extend beyond the construction and inauguration of the monument.

According to Gujja Sathyam, implementing Konda Laxman Bapuji’s ideals, improving the living standards of handloom workers and strengthening the handloom cooperative system should also receive attention.

He said resolving pending financial issues in the handloom sector, along with problems related to pensions, insurance, Nethanna Bharosa and marketing, could directly benefit handloom families.

Gujja Sathyam further said the Kothapet Konda Laxman Bapuji statue inauguration should not remain limited to a ceremonial event and could also provide a platform for wider discussion on the handloom sector, Padmashali social awareness and the ideals of Konda Laxman Bapuji.

Portrait of CM Revanth Reddy Presented on Handloom Loom

During the meeting, Padmashali representatives presented Chief Minister Revanth Reddy with a specially crafted portrait of the Chief Minister made on a handloom loom in Sircilla.

The portrait was presented as a symbol of the traditional skills and craftsmanship of Telangana handloom artisans.
