Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 Celebrated Across India with Grand Prayers & Festivities
Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 is being celebrated with great enthusiasm across India as Muslims mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan with special prayers and festivities.
In Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, celebrations are being held on a grand scale. Cities such as Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Warangal, and Visakhapatnam are witnessing large gatherings for Eid prayers in mosques and Eidgahs.
In Vijayawada, hundreds of worshippers gathered at Indira Gandhi Stadium to offer collective Eid namaz. Special prayers were also conducted in areas like Yanamalakuduru and the Old City. After the prayers, people greeted each other warmly, exchanging “Eid Mubarak” wishes.
Several prominent leaders attended the celebrations, including Farooq Shubli, Nagul Meera, Syed Basha, and Devineni Avinash.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad is fully prepared for Eid celebrations. Special prayers are scheduled to begin at 10 AM at the historic Mecca Masjid, where thousands of devotees are expected to gather. In view of the large turnout, traffic restrictions have been imposed in the Old City, and heavy security arrangements are in place.
A large number of people are also assembling at Mir Alam Eidgah, where Eid prayers will commence shortly. Police, along with law enforcement and rapid action forces, have deployed tight security to ensure smooth celebrations.
As the crescent moon was not sighted on the 19th of this month, Eid-ul-Fitr is being observed today across India. The festival is being celebrated with joy, unity, and a strong sense of communal harmony nationwide.
