ఈ ధర్నాకు జాతీయ వర్కింగ్ ప్రెసిడెంట్ ర్యాగ అరుణ్ కుమార్ అధ్యక్షత వహించగా, జాతీయ ఉపాధ్యక్షులు గుజ్జ సత్యం మాట్లాడారు. కుమ్మెరలో మల్లన్న జాతర సందర్భంగా రజక దంపతులను ఆలయంలోకి అనుమతించకుండా అడ్డుకుని జరిగిన దాడి, దానితో పసిపాప ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోవడం దేశాన్ని కలిచివేసిన ఘటనగా ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు.
“ఈ ఘటనపై రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం తగిన చర్యలు తీసుకోవడంలో విఫలమైంది. నిందితులను కాపాడే ప్రయత్నాలు జరుగుతున్నాయనే అనుమానాలు బలపడుతున్నాయి” అని గుజ్జ సత్యం తీవ్రంగా విమర్శించారు. వెంటనే ఈ కేసును సీబీఐకి అప్పగించి, నిష్పాక్షిక దర్యాప్తు జరపాలని ఆయన డిమాండ్ చేశారు.
బీసీ మహిళలపై పెరుగుతున్న దాడులు ఆందోళన కలిగిస్తున్నాయని, ఇటువంటి సంఘటనలు వ్యవస్థలో ఉన్న లోపాలను బహిర్గతం చేస్తున్నాయని ఆయన విశ్లేషించారు. “బీసీలు, దళితులకు తగిన రక్షణ లేకపోవడం వల్లే ఇలాంటి దారుణాలు పునరావృతమవుతున్నాయి. కేంద్రం, రాష్ట్రాలు సమన్వయంతో కఠిన చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలి” అని సూచించారు.
ఇక బీసీల రక్షణ కోసం ప్రత్యేక చట్టం అవసరమని గుజ్జ సత్యం స్పష్టం చేశారు. ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీ అట్ట్రాసిటీ చట్టం తరహాలోనే ఓబీసీ వర్గాలకు చట్టపరమైన రక్షణ కల్పించాలని కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వాన్ని కోరారు. ఈ అంశంపై పార్లమెంట్లో చర్చించి త్వరితగతిన చట్టం తీసుకురావాలని డిమాండ్ చేశారు.
అలాగే, బాధిత కుటుంబానికి తక్షణ ఆర్థిక సహాయం, పునరావాస చర్యలు చేపట్టాలని, బాధ్యులపై కఠిన చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని కేంద్ర, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వాలను కోరారు. ఈ ఘటనపై న్యాయం జరగకపోతే దేశవ్యాప్తంగా పెద్ద ఎత్తున ఆందోళనలు చేపడతామని హెచ్చరించారు.
