న్యూఢిల్లీ: (BC Protection Act) బీసీ వర్గాల హక్కుల సాధన కోసం నిర్వహించిన “చలో ఢిల్లీ” కార్యక్రమంలో భాగంగా బీసీ ప్రతినిధుల బృందం కేంద్ర సామాజిక న్యాయశాఖ మంత్రి రాందాస్ అతవాలే గారిని మర్యాదపూర్వకంగా కలిసింది. ఈ సందర్భంగా బీసీ వర్గాలకు సంబంధించిన కీలక సమస్యలు, దీర్ఘకాలిక డిమాండ్లపై సుదీర్ఘంగా చర్చించటం జరిగింది.
ఈ బృందానికి జాతీయ వర్కింగ్ ప్రెసిడెంట్ డాక్టర్ అరుణ్కుమార్, జాతీయ ఉపాధ్యక్షులు గుజ్జ సత్యం నాయకత్వం వహించారు. తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రంలో బీసీలకు జరుగుతున్న అన్యాయాలపై సమగ్ర విచారణ చేపట్టాలని, బీసీ రక్షణ చట్టాన్ని తక్షణమే అమలు చేయాలని వారు మంత్రిగారిని కోరారు.
అదేవిధంగా, చట్టసభల్లో బీసీలకు రిజర్వేషన్లు కల్పించడం, బీసీలకు ప్రత్యేక మంత్రిత్వ శాఖ ఏర్పాటు, మహిళల 33 శాతం రిజర్వేషన్ బిల్లులో బీసీ మహిళలకు సబ్కోటా కల్పించడం, ఉద్యోగాలు మరియు విద్యా రంగంలో రిజర్వేషన్లు మాత్రమే కాకుండా ప్రమోషన్లలో కూడా రిజర్వేషన్లు అమలు చేయాలని ప్రతినిధులు డిమాండ్ చేశారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో వివిధ జిల్లాల నుండి వచ్చిన బీసీ ప్రతినిధులు, మహిళా నాయకులు పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో పాల్గొన్నారు.
ఈ డిమాండ్లపై కేంద్ర మంత్రి రామ్దాస్ అతవాలే సానుకూలంగా స్పందిస్తూ, బీసీ వర్గాల సమస్యలను కేంద్ర స్థాయిలో పరిశీలించి తక్షణ చర్యలు తీసుకునే దిశగా ముందుకు సాగుతామని హామీ ఇచ్చారు.
ఈ సమావేశం బీసీ వర్గాల హక్కుల సాధనలో కీలక ముందడుగు కావచ్చని ప్రతినిధులు ఆశాభావం వ్యక్తం చేశారు.

New Delhi: As part of the nationwide “Chalo Delhi” movement, a delegation of Backward Classes (BC) leaders met Union Minister for Social Justice, Ramdas Athawale, to press for long-pending demands and rights of BC communities.
The BC delegation held detailed discussions with the minister, highlighting critical issues affecting backward classes across the country and emphasizing the urgent need for policy-level intervention.
BC Protection Act Demand Intensifies Nationwide
During the meeting, leaders strongly demanded the immediate implementation of the BC Protection Act, stating that it is essential to safeguard the constitutional and social rights of backward classes.
The delegation was led by National Working President Dr. Arun Kumar and National Vice President Gujja Sathyam, who urged the central government to initiate a comprehensive inquiry into the injustices faced by BC communities, particularly in Telangana.
They stressed that without a strong legal framework like the BC Protection Act, existing reservations and welfare measures remain vulnerable and ineffective.

- Reservation for BCs in legislative bodies
- Establishment of a dedicated BC Ministry
- Sub-quota for BC women in the 33% Women’s Reservation Bill
- Reservation in promotions along with jobs and education
- Caste census for accurate representation and policy planning
These demands, leaders said, are crucial for ensuring social justice and equitable opportunities for backward classes.
Ramdas Athawale Responds Positively
Union Minister Ramdas Athawale responded positively to the delegation, assuring that the concerns of BC communities would be examined at the central level.
He promised to take necessary steps towards addressing these issues and exploring actionable solutions for the upliftment of backward classes.

A large number of BC representatives, including women leaders from various districts, participated in the “Chalo Delhi” program, reflecting the growing national momentum for the BC Protection Act.
