హైదరాబాద్, ఫిబ్రవరి 8: తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రంలో ఈ నెల 11న జరగనున్న మున్సిపల్ ఎన్నికల్లో (Municipal Elections) రాజకీయ పార్టీలకు అతీతంగా జనరల్ స్థానాల్లో పోటీ చేస్తున్న బీసీ అభ్యర్థులను గెలిపించాలని జాతీయ బీసీ సంక్షేమ సంఘం జాతీయ ఉపాధ్యక్షులు గుజ్జ సత్యం పిలుపునిచ్చారు. “ఓటు మనదే – సీటు మనదే, బీసీల ఓటు బీసీలకే” అనే నినాదంతో బీసీ ఓటర్లు ఐక్యంగా ముందుకు రావాలని ఆయన సూచించారు.
హైదరాబాద్లోని బీసీ రాష్ట్ర కార్యాలయంలో జరిగిన విస్తృత స్థాయి సమావేశం అనంతరం నిర్వహించిన మీడియా సమావేశంలో గుజ్జ సత్యం మాట్లాడుతూ, రాష్ట్రంలోని 116 మున్సిపాలిటీలు, మూడు కార్పొరేషన్లలో జరుగుతున్న ఎన్నికలను బీసీల రాజకీయ ఐక్యతను ప్రదర్శించే వేదికగా మార్చుకోవాలని కోరారు. జనరల్ స్థానాలు ఏకపక్షంగా కొన్ని వర్గాలకు మాత్రమే కేటాయించినవి కాదని, రిజర్వేషన్లు లేని చోట పోటీ చేస్తున్న బీసీ అభ్యర్థులకు మద్దతు ఇవ్వడం ద్వారా రాజకీయంగా న్యాయం సాధ్యమవుతుందని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు.
రాష్ట్రంలో ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీలకు జనాభా నిష్పత్తి ప్రకారం రిజర్వేషన్లు అమలవుతున్నాయని, అయితే బీసీలకు తగిన ప్రాతినిధ్యం దక్కడం లేదని ఆయన అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. గ్రామపంచాయతీ ఎన్నికల్లో కనిపించిన చైతన్యం మున్సిపల్ ఎన్నికల్లో మరింతగా ప్రతిఫలించాలని సూచించారు.

బీసీ రిజర్వేషన్ల విషయంలో కేంద్ర, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వాలు న్యాయం చేయలేదని పేర్కొంటూ, ఈ ఎన్నికలను బీసీల ఆత్మగౌరవానికి పరీక్షగా భావించాలని ఆయన అన్నారు. రాష్ట్రంలోని అన్ని బీసీ కులాలు, అలాగే ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీ, మైనార్టీ వర్గాలు ఐక్యంగా బీసీ అభ్యర్థులను గెలిపించేందుకు కృషి చేయాలని విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు.
