జాతీయ జనగణనలో బీసీలను “ఇతరులు”గా ముద్రవేసే కుట్రను తిప్పికొట్టాలి – గుజ్జ సత్యం.
హైదరాబాద్, జనవరి 29 : దేశ భవిష్యత్తును నిర్ణయించే జాతీయ జనగణన–2027లో వెనుకబడిన తరగతుల (బీసీలు)ను ప్రత్యేకంగా లెక్కించకుండా (BC Census) “ఇతరులు (Other)” అనే విభాగంలో కలిపివేయడం సామాజిక న్యాయంపై ప్రత్యక్ష దాడిగా మారుతోందని జాతీయ బీసీ సంక్షేమ సంఘం జాతీయ ఉపాధ్యక్షులు గుజ్జ సత్యం తీవ్ర స్థాయిలో విమర్శించారు.
తెలంగాణ జాగృతి అధ్యక్షురాలు కల్వకుంట్ల కవిత ఆధ్వర్యంలో జరిగిన “జాతీయ జనగణనలో కులగణన – సమగ్ర చర్చ” రౌండ్ టేబుల్ సమావేశంలో ఆయన మాట్లాడుతూ, జనగణన అనేది కేవలం పరిపాలనా ప్రక్రియ మాత్రమే కాదని,
దేశ సామాజిక నిర్మాణం, రాజకీయ ప్రాతినిధ్యం, సంక్షేమ విధానాల దిశను నిర్ణయించే అత్యంత కీలక పత్రం అని పేర్కొన్నారు.
భారత ప్రభుత్వం తాజాగా విడుదల చేసిన ఇంటి లెక్కింపు (House Listing) నోటిఫికేషన్లో మొత్తం 33 అంశాలు ఉండటం గమనార్హమని, ఇంటి పైకప్పు పదార్థం నుంచి, కుటుంబంలో గదుల సంఖ్య, వంటకు ఉపయోగించే ఇంధనం,
మొబైల్, టీవీ, ఇంటర్నెట్ వినియోగం వరకూ సూక్ష్మ వివరాలను ప్రభుత్వం నమోదు చేస్తోందని తెలిపారు.
అయితే, దేశ జనాభాలో 50–60 శాతం వరకు ఉన్న బీసీల విషయంలో మాత్రం స్పష్టమైన జనాభా గణాంకాలు అడగకపోవడం తీవ్రమైన విధానపరమైన విరుద్ధత అని గుజ్జ సత్యం వ్యాఖ్యానించారు.
కుటుంబ పెద్ద SC / ST / Other వర్గానికి చెందినవారా అని మాత్రమే ప్రశ్నించడం ద్వారా, బీసీలను “Other” అనే ఒక్క పదంలో కలిపివేయడం యాదృచ్ఛికం కాదని,
ఇది దశాబ్దాలుగా కొనసాగుతున్న విధానపరమైన నిర్లక్ష్యం, రాజకీయ తప్పించుకునే ధోరణికి కొనసాగింపే అని ఆయన విమర్శించారు.
బీసీలకు సంబంధించి స్పష్టమైన గణాంకాలు లేకుండా విద్యలో సమాన అవకాశాలు, ఉద్యోగాల్లో న్యాయమైన రిజర్వేషన్లు, సంక్షేమ పథకాల సమర్థ అమలు ఎలా సాధ్యమవుతాయో ప్రభుత్వం ప్రజలకు సమాధానం చెప్పాలని ఆయన డిమాండ్ చేశారు. కులగణన అనేది రాజకీయ ప్రయోజనాల కోసం చేసే డిమాండ్ కాదని,అది సామాజిక న్యాయం సమానత్వానికి మౌలిక పునాది అని గుజ్జ సత్యం స్పష్టం చేశారు.జాతీయ జనగణనలో ఓబీసీ / బీసీలకు ప్రత్యేక కాలమ్ ఏర్పాటు చేయడం రాజ్యాంగబద్ధమైన బాధ్యత అని పేర్కొన్నారు.
కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం ఈ అంశాన్ని నిర్లక్ష్యం చేస్తే,దేశవ్యాప్తంగా బీసీలు ఐక్యంగా ఉద్యమించేందుకు సిద్ధంగా ఉన్నారని హెచ్చరించారు.సమాన హక్కుల కోసం పోరాటం అనివార్యమవుతుందని ఆయన స్పష్టం చేశారు.
ఈ సమావేశంలో పలువురు బీసీ సంఘాల నాయకులు, సామాజిక మేధావులు, విద్యావేత్తలు, కార్యకర్తలు పాల్గొని,జాతీయ జనగణనలో ఓబీసీ / బీసీలకు ప్రత్యేక కాలమ్ తప్పనిసరిగా చేర్చాలంటూ ఏకగ్రీవంగా తీర్మానం చేశారు.

BC Census 2027 India: Gujja Sathyam Slams ‘Other’ Category, Demands BC Caste Count
Hyderabad, January 29: The ongoing BC Census 2027 India debate has intensified after strong objections were raised over the exclusion of Backward Classes (BCs) from a separate category in the upcoming national census. Addressing a round table discussion led by Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha, National BC Welfare Association Vice President Gujja Sathyam termed the move a direct attack on social justice.
During the Telangana Jagruthi Kavitha meeting, Sathyam said the National census caste count India is not merely an administrative exercise but a crucial document that determines the country’s social structure, political representation, and welfare policies. His remarks, now widely discussed as part of Telangana BC leaders news, have reignited the Caste census debate India.
Referring to the recently released India census house listing details, Sathyam pointed out that the government is collecting 33 parameters, including housing conditions, number of rooms, cooking fuel, and access to mobile phones, television, and internet. However, he questioned why there is no provision to gather accurate OBC population data India, despite BCs constituting nearly 50–60% of the population.
In his Gujja Sathyam BC statement, he criticized the classification system that only asks whether the head of the family belongs to SC, ST, or “Other.” He said merging BCs into the “Other” category is not accidental but a continuation of long-standing policy neglect and political avoidance. This concern has now emerged as a major OBC classification other category issue.
Highlighting the BC reservation data issue, Sathyam asked how the government can ensure fair reservations in education and employment or implement welfare schemes effectively without reliable caste data. He emphasized that the OBC caste census demand is not politically motivated but is essential for ensuring equality and fairness, making it a key part of the broader Social justice census India framework.
He further stated that including a separate column for BCs/OBCs in the census is a constitutional responsibility and essential for accurate Caste enumeration India 2027. The BC welfare association demands have clearly called for immediate correction of this gap.
Warning of large-scale mobilization, Sathyam said that if the central government ignores this demand, it could lead to a nationwide BC rights protest India. He asserted that the fight for equal rights would become inevitable if justice is denied.
The meeting concluded with a unanimous resolution by BC leaders, intellectuals, academicians, and activists, strongly urging the inclusion of a dedicated column for BCs/OBCs in the upcoming census.
