వరంగల్ జిల్లాలో మొక్కజొన్న రైతుల పరిస్థితి రోజురోజుకు దయనీయంగా మారుతోంది. భారీగా పండించిన మొక్కజొన్న పంటకు సరైన ధర లేక రైతులు తీవ్ర ఇబ్బందులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్నారు. మార్కెట్ యార్డుల్లో మొక్కజొన్న కొనుగోళ్లు నెమ్మదిగా సాగుతుండటంతో రైతులు తమ పంటను విక్రయించలేక ఆందోళన చెందుతున్నారు. తెలంగాణలో మొక్కజొన్న రైతుల సమస్యలు ప్రస్తుతం ప్రధాన చర్చనీయాంశంగా మారాయి.
ఈ ఏడాది అనుకూల వాతావరణ పరిస్థితులతో వరంగల్, హనుమకొండ, మహబూబాబాద్ ప్రాంతాల్లో రైతులు పెద్ద ఎత్తున మొక్కజొన్న సాగు చేశారు. అయితే పంట చేతికొచ్చే సమయానికి మార్కెట్లో మొక్కజొన్న ధరలు భారీగా పడిపోయాయి. కనీస మద్దతు ధర (MSP) అమలు కావడంలో ఆలస్యం జరుగుతుండటంతో రైతులు ప్రైవేట్ వ్యాపారులకు తక్కువ ధరలకు పంట అమ్ముకోవాల్సిన పరిస్థితి ఏర్పడింది.
మొక్కజొన్న రైతులు చెబుతున్న వివరాల ప్రకారం, ఎకరాకు వేలాది రూపాయలు పెట్టుబడి పెట్టినా ప్రస్తుతం వస్తున్న ధరలు ఖర్చులను కూడా తీరించలేకపోతున్నాయి. ఎరువులు, విత్తనాలు, పురుగుమందుల ధరలు పెరగడంతో సాగు వ్యయం భారీగా పెరిగింది. కానీ మార్కెట్లో మొక్కజొన్న ధర మాత్రం రైతులను తీవ్ర నిరాశకు గురిచేస్తోంది. తెలంగాణ మొక్కజొన్న రైతులు ప్రభుత్వ జోక్యం కోరుతున్నారు.
మార్కెట్ యార్డుల్లో సరైన సదుపాయాలు లేకపోవడం కూడా రైతుల సమస్యలను మరింత పెంచుతోంది. వర్షాలు పడుతుండటంతో తెచ్చిన మొక్కజొన్న తడిసి నాణ్యత కోల్పోతుందని రైతులు ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు. వెంటనే కొనుగోలు కేంద్రాలు ఏర్పాటు చేసి MSP ప్రకారం మొక్కజొన్న కొనుగోలు చేయాలని రైతులు డిమాండ్ చేస్తున్నారు.
వ్యవసాయ నిపుణులు మాత్రం మొక్కజొన్నకు దేశవ్యాప్తంగా డిమాండ్ ఉన్నప్పటికీ మధ్యవర్తుల ఆధిపత్యం కారణంగా రైతులకు సరైన లాభాలు అందడం లేదని చెబుతున్నారు. ప్రభుత్వం నేరుగా రైతుల నుంచి మొక్కజొన్న కొనుగోలు చేస్తే పరిస్థితి మెరుగుపడే అవకాశం ఉందని అభిప్రాయపడుతున్నారు.
ఇక తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం వెంటనే స్పందించి మొక్కజొన్న రైతులకు న్యాయం చేయాలని రైతు సంఘాలు డిమాండ్ చేస్తున్నాయి. రైతులకు గిట్టుబాటు ధర కల్పించకపోతే పెద్ద ఎత్తున ఆందోళనలు చేపడతామని హెచ్చరిస్తున్నారు. ప్రస్తుతం వరంగల్ జిల్లాలో మొక్కజొన్న రైతుల ఆవేదన రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా చర్చనీయాంశంగా మారింది.
