రోడ్డు ప్రమాదాల్లో ప్రాణరక్షణకు ‘రహ్వీర్ పథకం’ – సహాయం చేసిన వారికి రూ.25 వేల బహుమతి: ఎస్పీ నితికా పంత్
ఆసిఫాబాద్, ఏప్రిల్ 21: రోడ్డు ప్రమాదాల్లో గాయపడిన వారి ప్రాణాలను కాపాడేందుకు ముందుకు వచ్చే బాధ్యతగల పౌరులను ప్రోత్సహించేందుకు కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం అమలు చేస్తున్న రహ్వీర్ పథకం (Rahveer Scheme) ఎంతో ఉపయోగకరంగా ఉందని ఎస్పీ నితికా పంత్ తెలిపారు. ఈ పథకం కింద రోడ్డు ప్రమాదం (Road Accident) సమయంలో గాయపడిన వ్యక్తులను సమయానికి ఆసుపత్రికి తరలించి ప్రాణాలు కాపాడిన వారికి రూ.25 వేల నగదు బహుమతి మరియు ప్రశంసాపత్రం అందజేస్తారని వెల్లడించారు.
మంగళవారం నిర్వహించిన సమావేశంలో ఎస్పీ మాట్లాడుతూ దేశవ్యాప్తంగా ప్రతి సంవత్సరం వేల సంఖ్యలో రోడ్డు ప్రమాదాలు, రోడ్డు ప్రమాదాలు జరుగుతున్నాయని పేర్కొన్నారు. ప్రమాదం జరిగిన తొలి గంటను **గోల్డెన్ అవర్ (Golden Hour)**గా పరిగణిస్తారని, ఈ సమయంలో వెంటనే వైద్య సహాయం అందితే అనేక ప్రాణాలను రక్షించవచ్చని వివరించారు. అయితే చాలా మంది పౌరులు పోలీసు కేసుల భయంతో రోడ్డు ప్రమాదం బాధితులకు సహాయం చేయడానికి వెనుకంజ వేస్తున్నారని అన్నారు.
ఈ భయాలను తొలగించేందుకు కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం ప్రత్యేకంగా రహ్వీర్ పథకం, రహ్వీర్ పథకంను ప్రవేశపెట్టిందని తెలిపారు. ఈ పథకం ప్రకారం రోడ్డు ప్రమాదంలో గాయపడిన వ్యక్తిని వెంటనే సమీప ఆసుపత్రికి తరలిస్తే, సహాయం చేసిన వ్యక్తికి ఎలాంటి చట్టపరమైన ఇబ్బందులు ఉండవని స్పష్టం చేశారు. అంతేకాకుండా ప్రభుత్వం నుంచి రూ.25,000 నగదు ప్రోత్సాహకం అందజేయబడుతుందని చెప్పారు.
రోడ్డు ప్రమాదం, రోడ్డు ప్రమాదం జరిగిన వెంటనే 108 అంబులెన్స్కు సమాచారం ఇవ్వాలని, సమీపంలోని ప్రభుత్వ లేదా ప్రైవేటు ఆసుపత్రికి బాధితులను తరలించాలని సూచించారు. ప్రతి పౌరుడు బాధ్యతగా వ్యవహరించి రోడ్డు ప్రమాదాలు, రోడ్డు ప్రమాదాలులో గాయపడిన వారి ప్రాణాలను కాపాడటంలో భాగస్వాములు కావాలని ఎస్పీ నితికా పంత్ పిలుపునిచ్చారు.

Asifabad, April 21: Stressing the importance of timely road accident help, SP Nitika Pant urged citizens to actively participate in saving lives under the Rahveer Scheme, a flagship Government of India scheme designed to encourage immediate assistance during a road accident.
Addressing a review meeting on Tuesday, the SP said that road accidents in India continue to claim thousands of lives every year, largely due to delays in providing timely emergency response. She emphasized that the first hour after a road accident, widely known as the golden hour, is the most critical period for ensuring survival. Quick road accident help and immediate medical attention during this time can drastically reduce fatalities and serious injuries.
Explaining the benefits of the Rahveer Scheme, she stated that any individual who helps a road accident victim by shifting them to the nearest hospital within the golden hour will be rewarded with ₹25,000 cash incentive along with a certificate of appreciation. The scheme aims to motivate the public to come forward without hesitation and provide road accident help when it matters the most.
The SP also addressed a major concern among citizens — the fear of legal complications. She clarified that under the Good Samaritan Law India, those who provide road accident help are fully protected and will not face police harassment, legal issues, or court procedures. This legal safeguard is a crucial part of improving road safety India and ensuring more people step forward during emergencies.
She advised citizens that whenever a road accident occurs, they should immediately alert the 108 ambulance service, which plays a key role in emergency response across India. If possible, they should also ensure that the injured are quickly transported to the nearest government or private hospital to receive urgent medical care.
Highlighting the broader goal of the initiative, SP Nitika Pant said that increasing awareness about the Rahveer Scheme, promoting road safety India, and encouraging road accident help can collectively save countless lives. She called upon every responsible citizen to act without fear, extend road accident help, and become a lifesaver during critical moments.
The police department is also planning awareness campaigns to educate the public about the Rahveer Scheme, golden hour importance, and the legal protection available under the Good Samaritan Law India. Officials believe that with greater public participation, the impact of road accidents in India can be significantly reduced.
