జిల్లా మేజిస్ట్రేట్ సీపీ సింగ్ వివరాల ప్రకారం, శుక్రవారం మధ్యాహ్నం సుమారు 2.45 గంటల సమయంలో కేసీ ఘాట్ సమీపంలో ఈ యమునా నది పడవ ప్రమాదం జరిగింది. లూధియానా నుంచి వచ్చిన భక్తులు రెండు పడవల్లో ప్రయాణిస్తుండగా, వాటిలో ఒకటి ఫ్లోటింగ్ బ్రిడ్జిని ఢీకొనడంతో ఈ మథుర బోటు ప్రమాదం చోటుచేసుకుంది.
ఈ యమునా నదిలో పడవ ప్రమాదం సమాచారం అందగానే అధికారులు వెంటనే ఘటన స్థలానికి చేరుకుని సహాయక చర్యలు ప్రారంభించారు. ఇప్పటివరకు 17 మంది యాత్రికులను సురక్షితంగా రక్షించినట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు. అయితే ఇంకా పలువురు యాత్రికులు గల్లంతవడంతో యమునా నది ప్రమాదంలో మృతుల సంఖ్య పెరిగే అవకాశం ఉందని అధికారులు ఆందోళన వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు.
ప్రస్తుతం గల్లంతైన వారిని గుర్తించేందుకు మథుర యమునా నది రెస్క్యూ ఆపరేషన్ కొనసాగుతోంది. ఎన్డీఆర్ఎఫ్, స్థానిక పోలీసులు, అగ్నిమాపక సిబ్బంది కలిసి గాలింపు చర్యలు ముమ్మరం చేశారు. ఈ ఘటనతో మథుర పడవ ప్రమాదం దేశవ్యాప్తంగా సంచలనం సృష్టించింది.
