ఉస్మానియా విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో బీసీ సామాజిక వర్గానికి చెందిన సీనియర్ అధ్యాపకుడు ప్రొఫెసర్ (OU Professor) మనోహర్ రావును అకారణంగా సస్పెండ్ చేయడం, బీసీలపై కొనసాగుతున్న వ్యవస్థాగత వివక్షకు మరో సాక్ష్యమని జాతీయ బీసీ సంక్షేమ సంఘం ఉపాధ్యక్షుడు గుజ్జ సత్యం తీవ్ర స్థాయిలో మండిపడ్డారు. బీసీలకు యూనివర్సిటీల్లో వీసీ, రిజిస్టార్ వంటి కీలక పదవులు దక్కకపోవడమే కాకుండా, ప్రజాస్వామ్యంగా మాట్లాడినందుకే ఉద్యోగాలనే ఊడగొట్టే పరిస్థితి నెలకొనడం ప్రభుత్వ వైఫల్యానికి అద్దం పడుతోందన్నారు.
కెరీర్ అడ్వాన్స్మెంట్ స్కీమ్ (CAS) అమలు చేయకపోవడం వల్ల సంవత్సరాలుగా పదోన్నతులు పొందని వందలాది అధ్యాపకుల సమస్యలపై, ఉస్మానియా యూనివర్సిటీ టీచర్స్ అసోసియేషన్ (ఔటా) ఆధ్వర్యంలో గత 50 రోజులుగా శాంతియుతంగా జరుగుతున్న ఉద్యమానికి నాయకత్వం వహించడమే ప్రొఫెసర్ మనోహర్ చేసిన “తప్పిదమా?” అని గుజ్జ సత్యం ప్రశ్నించారు. ప్రశ్నించే గొంతును అణిచివేయడమే పరిష్కారం అనుకోవడం నియంతృత్వ ఆలోచనలకు నిదర్శనమన్నారు.
ఉపాధ్యాయుల సమస్యలను యాజమాన్యం దృష్టికి తీసుకెళ్లడం ఔటా యొక్క రాజ్యాంగబద్ధమైన బాధ్యత అని, సమస్యలను పరిష్కరించాల్సిన వైస్ చాన్సలర్, రిజిస్టార్లు చేతులు దులుపుకుని, ఉద్యమానికి నాయకత్వం వహించిన వ్యక్తిని శిక్షించడం ద్వారా భయాందోళన సృష్టించాలని చూస్తున్నారని విమర్శించారు. ఇది విద్యా సంస్థా? లేక అణచివేత కేంద్రామా? అని ఆయన ఘాటుగా వ్యాఖ్యానించారు.
ఉస్మానియా విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో బీసీ–ఎస్సీ–ఎస్టీ అధ్యాపకుల మధ్య ఉన్న ఐక్యతను దెబ్బతీయడానికి కొంతమంది స్వార్థపర శక్తులు కుట్రలు పన్నుతున్నాయని, ఆ కుట్రలకు యూనివర్సిటీ రిజిస్టార్ నరేష్ రెడ్డి వ్యవహారం ప్రత్యక్షంగా, పరోక్షంగా మద్దతిస్తున్నట్లు స్పష్టంగా కనిపిస్తోందన్నారు. ఈ పరిస్థితిని ఉపాధ్యాయ సమాజం తేలిగ్గా తీసుకోకూడదని, సామాజిక న్యాయ ఉద్యమంలో ఐక్యతే ఆయుధమని గుర్తించాలన్నారు.
బీసీల పట్ల ప్రభుత్వానికి నిజంగా చిత్తశుద్ధి ఉంటే, తక్షణమే జోక్యం చేసుకుని ప్రొఫెసర్ మనోహర్ రావును విధుల్లోకి తీసుకోవాలని డిమాండ్ చేశారు. లేనిపక్షంలో ఇది ఒక్క వ్యక్తి సమస్యగా మిగలదని, రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా బీసీ, ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీ సంఘాల ఐక్య ఉద్యమంగా మారుతుందని గుజ్జ సత్యం స్పష్టం చేశారు. విశ్వవిద్యాలయాలను ప్రశ్నల సమాధులుగా మార్చే ప్రయత్నాలను సహించేది లేదని హెచ్చరించారు.
