హైదరాబాద్: ఖైరతాబాద్‌ బడా గణేశ్‌ దర్శనానికి భక్తులు భారీగా తరలివస్తున్నారు. ఈ ఏడాది 69 అడుగుల ఎత్తులో ఖైరతాబాద్ మహాగణపతిని అత్యంత వైభవంగా తీర్చిదిద్దారు. గణేశ్‌ ఉత్సవాల నేపథ్యంలో ఖైరతాబాద్‌ పరిసరాలు భక్తులతో కిటకిటలాడుతున్నాయి. సోమవారం ఉదయం మహాగణపతికి తొలిపూజ నిర్వహించనున్నారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి తెలంగాణ గవర్నర్‌ శివప్రసాద్‌ శుక్లా పాల్గొననున్నారు.

69 అడుగుల ఖైరతాబాద్ గణేశుడు

ప్రతి ఏడాది ప్రత్యేక ఆకర్షణగా నిలిచే ఖైరతాబాద్ గణేశుడు ఈసారి 69 అడుగుల ఎత్తులో భక్తులకు దర్శనమివ్వనున్నాడు. భారీ విగ్రహాన్ని దర్శించుకునేందుకు ఇప్పటికే పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో భక్తులు ఖైరతాబాద్‌కు చేరుకుంటున్నారు. గణేశ్‌ ఉత్సవాల సందర్భంగా రాబోయే రోజుల్లో భక్తుల సంఖ్య మరింత పెరిగే అవకాశం ఉందని అధికారులు అంచనా వేస్తున్నారు.

నేటి నుంచి ట్రాఫిక్ ఆంక్షలు

ఖైరతాబాద్ గణేశ్ ఉత్సవాలు దృష్ట్యా సోమవారం నుంచి సెప్టెంబర్‌ 24 వరకు హైదరాబాద్‌లోని పలు ప్రాంతాల్లో ట్రాఫిక్ ఆంక్షలు అమల్లో ఉంటాయి. ప్రతిరోజూ ఉదయం 11 గంటల నుంచి రాత్రి వరకు పరిస్థితికి అనుగుణంగా వాహనాలను పలు ప్రత్యామ్నాయ మార్గాల్లో మళ్లించనున్నట్లు ట్రాఫిక్ పోలీసులు తెలిపారు.

వాహనదారులు తప్పనిసరిగా ట్రాఫిక్ మళ్లింపులను గమనించి ప్రత్యామ్నాయ మార్గాలను ఎంచుకోవాలని పోలీసులు సూచిస్తున్నారు.

ప్రధాన ట్రాఫిక్ మళ్లింపులు ఇవే..

• వీవీ విగ్రహం వైపు నుంచి వచ్చే వాహనాలను నిరంకారి జంక్షన్ వైపు మళ్లించనున్నారు.
• పాత పీఎస్‌ సైఫాబాద్‌ వైపు నుంచి వచ్చే వాహనాలను ఇక్బాల్‌ మినార్‌ వైపు మళ్లించనున్నారు.
• నెక్లెస్ రోటరీ నుంచి మింట్ కాంపౌండ్ వైపు ట్రాఫిక్‌కు అనుమతి ఉండదు.
• నిరంకారి నుంచి ఖైరతాబాద్ రైల్వే గేట్ వైపు వాహనాల రాకపోకలను నిలిపివేయనున్నారు.

ఈ ప్రాంతాల్లో ట్రాఫిక్ రద్దీకి అవకాశం

ఖైరతాబాద్, సైఫాబాద్, మింట్ కాంపౌండ్, ఎన్టీఆర్ మార్గ్, సెక్రటేరియట్ జంక్షన్, మాసాబ్ ట్యాంక్ పరిసరాల్లో భారీగా ట్రాఫిక్ రద్దీ ఏర్పడే అవకాశం ఉందని పోలీసులు హెచ్చరిస్తున్నారు. గణేశ్‌ దర్శనానికి వచ్చే భక్తులు, సాధారణ వాహనదారులు ట్రాఫిక్‌ ఆంక్షలను దృష్టిలో ఉంచుకుని తమ ప్రయాణాన్ని ప్లాన్‌ చేసుకోవాలని సూచించారు.

భక్తుల కోసం ప్రత్యేక పార్కింగ్ ఏర్పాట్లు

ఖైరతాబాద్ బడా గణేశ్ దర్శనం కోసం వచ్చే భక్తుల వాహనాల కోసం పలు ప్రాంతాల్లో ప్రత్యేక పార్కింగ్‌ సదుపాయాలను ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. రేస్ కోర్స్ రోడ్, ఎన్టీఆర్ ఘాట్, ఐమ్యాక్స్ పక్కన ఉన్న HMDA పార్కింగ్, విశ్వేశ్వరయ్య భవన్ ప్రాంతాల్లో వాహనాలను పార్కింగ్ చేసుకునేలా ఏర్పాట్లు చేశారు.

భక్తులు తమ వాహనాలను రోడ్లపై నిలపకుండా కేటాయించిన పార్కింగ్ ప్రాంతాలను మాత్రమే వినియోగించాలని ట్రాఫిక్ పోలీసులు సూచిస్తున్నారు.

భక్తులు పోలీసుల సూచనలు పాటిస్తూ, వీలైనంత వరకు ప్రజా రవాణాను వినియోగించి ఖైరతాబాద్ బడా గణేశ్ దర్శనానికి రావాలని అధికారులు సూచిస్తున్నారు.

Khairatabad Ganesh 2026 69-Foot Idol Draws Huge Crowds, Traffic Restrictions Begin in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Devotees have started thronging Khairatabad Bada Ganesh in large numbers as the iconic 69-foot Khairatabad Ganesh idol becomes a major attraction during the Ganesh festivities in Hyderabad. Elaborate arrangements have been made for devotees visiting the famous Khairatabad Ganesh pandal.

The 69-foot Khairatabad Ganesh idol has been specially designed for this year’s celebrations and is expected to attract a large number of devotees from Hyderabad and neighbouring areas. The first puja, or Tholi Pooja, for the Maha Ganapathi is scheduled to be performed on Monday morning. Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla is expected to participate in the Tholi Pooja ceremony.

Khairatabad Ganesh 2026: Traffic restrictions from Monday

With thousands of devotees expected to visit Khairatabad Ganesh 2026, Hyderabad traffic police have introduced traffic restrictions and diversions in and around Khairatabad.

The traffic restrictions will remain in force from Monday until September 24. According to the traffic arrangements, vehicle diversions will be implemented every day from around 11 am onwards and continue into the night, depending on the traffic situation and crowd movement.

The restrictions have been introduced to ensure the smooth movement of devotees and prevent major traffic congestion around the Khairatabad Ganesh pandal.

Major traffic diversions around Khairatabad

As part of the Khairatabad Ganesh traffic restrictions, vehicles approaching from the VV Statue side will be diverted towards Nirankari Junction.

Vehicles coming from the old PS Saifabad side will be diverted towards Iqbal Minar.

Traffic movement from Necklace Rotary towards Mint Compound will not be permitted during the restriction period.

Similarly, vehicle movement from Nirankari towards Khairatabad Railway Gate has been stopped as part of the traffic management arrangements.

These areas may witness heavy traffic

Traffic police have warned that significant congestion is likely in and around:

• Khairatabad
• Saifabad
• Mint Compound
• NTR Marg
• Secretariat Junction
• Masab Tank

Motorists travelling through these areas are advised to plan their journeys in advance and use alternative routes wherever possible.

The Khairatabad Ganesh traffic diversions are aimed at managing the expected increase in vehicle and pedestrian movement during the festival. Commuters who do not need to travel through the Khairatabad area have also been advised to consider alternative routes.

Special parking facilities for devotees

Special parking arrangements have been made for devotees coming for Khairatabad Ganesh Darshan. Parking facilities are available at several designated locations, including:

• Race Course Road
• NTR Ghat
• HMDA parking facility near IMAX
• Vishweshwarayya Bhavan

Devotees have been advised to park their vehicles only at designated parking areas and avoid leaving vehicles on roads, particularly around the main Khairatabad Ganesh route.

Khairatabad Bada Ganesh becomes Hyderabad’s major attraction

The Khairatabad Bada Ganesh has been one of Hyderabad’s most prominent Ganesh festival attractions for decades. The towering idol draws devotees from across the city as well as visitors from different parts of Telangana.

With the 69-foot Khairatabad Ganesh idol being the centre of attraction this year, authorities are expecting substantial crowds during the festival period. Traffic management, pedestrian movement and parking have therefore emerged as key priorities for the Hyderabad police and civic authorities.

Devotees visiting Khairatabad Ganesh 2026 are requested to follow police instructions, use designated parking facilities and cooperate with traffic personnel to ensure a smooth and safe Ganesh Darshan.
